Thanks for the invite, to your point, I need four more posts (well, maybe three now) before I can kick off my training wheels and belly up to the saloon bar. Meanwhile, you're welcome to point the person over here to open a thread and I'll be happy to share my experience as I'm using the "tobeco" black (didn't want to risk drilling a "real" kayfun) but am so happy with it, I'll probably never spend the extra $$ on the real deal (instead I'll wait for a bday or xmas).

Well, just keep talking to me. :) What color/led color is your Precious?

ya the thing with the car charging wont work, we have one of those cars where it has to be on for the cig lighter to work.....but theres some other options I am looking into. But ya I think about 14 batteries should work lol.....along with my mvp and my vision spinner lol.....don't want to get caught outdoors without being able to vape especially when drinking......Whew!!! that would suuuuuck

Ya I imagine I will invest in a lot of batteries....especially to have them charged for 6 day camping trips lol

If I was away from a power source for 6 days, I would first of all make sure I had the 18650 battery extender cap on my provari so I could run the 18650's.
I would bring 14 batteries to be on safe side if you r a chain vaper. LOL. Also depends if you have access to the cigarette lighter in your vehicle then I would just bring my battery charger with the adapter and just charge them in my vehicle.
Now they have run an episode of Preppers stocking up on batteries for their vapes..LOL

Current is identical in both examples or 2 amps .
2I•3.5Vdc=7watts
2I•4.5Vdc =9watts.

We're splitting hairs here, it's a decimal point issue. I'm not a mathematician, I just type the formulae on the wheel. If our numbers don't match, take it up with Georg Ohm, it's not my law. :)

3.5v²/1.5Ω = 8.16666667 watts
4.5v²/2.5Ω = 8.1 watts

3.5v/1.5Ω = 2.3333333I (current/amps)
4.5v/2.5Ω = 1.8I (current/amps)

2.3333333 I x 3.5v = 8.16666657w
1.8I x 4.5v = 8.1w

2.3333333I² x 1.5Ω = 8.16666644w
1.8I² x 2.5Ω = 8.1w

3.5v/2.3333333I = 1.50000002Ω
4.5v/1.8I = 2.5Ω

Volts divided by resistance equals current. Not watts.
The decimal point isn't. It's a symbol to multiply. X is reserved for an unknown in basic algebra..

Please tell me you're kidding. Please please please please please please please

No I'm not kidding or joking. On the pie chart post303, I used the 2 formulas at approximately 9 o'clock.
Seeing as I'm not an expert I'm asking why my numbers are wrong? So far, a little impatience, a little sarcasm. I take it this is the Socratic method? Sting me a little more, i know knowledge comes at a cost.
Why & under what circumstances is the Vsqrd formula used instead of the one I earlier posted..

Oh, your usage of ohms law wasn't wrong, although you would wanna take a look at baditude's explanation, bearing in mind the relationship between the 3 parameters: V, I and R, and then use ocelot's wheel to see how these 3 relate to power (watts).



My earlier reply was more with regards to your assertion that X is reserved for representing an unknown/variable.

Once again, whatever device you are using for your calculations is rounding the numbers, so 2.3 became 2 and 1.8 became 2.

Going around the wheel:

Power (watts) divided by current (I) equals voltage
Current times resistance equals voltage
The square root of power times resistance equals voltage

The square root of power divided by resistance equals current
Power divided by voltage equals current
Voltage divided by resistance equals current

Power divided by current times current equals resistance
Voltage times voltage divided by power equals resistance
Voltage divided by current equals resistance

Current times voltage equals power
Current times current times resistance equals power
Voltage times voltage divided by resistance equals power (watts)

This really is getting into minutia. As far as vaping, when the difference between the numbers small few people will notice it.
