You have done well! Excellent RTA. Get ready for RDA comparable flavor. You would have a hard time finding better.OK , I finally bit the bullet.
Ordered a GeekVape Ammit 25, some cotton bacon, wire and a building kit.
So now I await VAPE MAIL!!!!
Aah missed that, ya got the Ammit. That's not a bad RDA (I've got that one too) to start on.POST #36
Ammit 25 will be easier to learn than Zeus. I'll let you know how the Zeus performs, if it ever makes it out of China that is. lol
Oh, oh, oh oh..
LOOKY! A pretty hurricane!
I WANT one! (Definitely not 20.00..but this is something I haven't seen yet!) And I want one!
Lol..
@Opinionated, Looky what I found, a firebird clone.
$21.25 Fire Bird Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 5ml / 316 stainless steel + PC / 22.5mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Not sure how it compares to the real one, but its only 20 some odd dollars as apposed to 400 lol.
I am not new to the vape world but have never built or wicked coils before. I am looking for an inexpensive starter RTA and know this to be the place to ask.
currently using nautlus minis 24mg nic 50/50 at around 9 watts and AL85 with Baby Beast .4 ohm coil 12mg nic 70/30 at 45-55 watts.
am more of a flavor chaser than cloud chaser
am looking forward to a little guidance from my fellow ECF members
Thanks
It is a bottom fill tank I have one. If you are a flavor chaser it is is a really good tank. I changed the drip tip but I like the look of the tank. The glass is very thin be careful. Is that a bottom fill tank?
What are those two screws on the bottom?
I realize I am late to the party but if you like the Baby Beast, you could have just bought the RBA head and used the same tank. It is dual coil but not too hard to build from what I have heard.
Rebuildable Atomizer Head RBA Head for SMOKTech TFV8 Baby Beast
Also the SMOK TF-RTA has a separate single coil deck.
As a brand new vaper and having just went through the pain of what I just went through with the SMOK RBA head, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone getting into RTA or RBAs. They are known for shorting out because the head touches the base across the whole surface (you have to grind it down to keep it from doing this), and the posts are usually loose (you have to have a vise to hammer them down). I would highly recommend spending the money to get a good beginner RTA first. Which is WHY I am on this thread.![]()
An RTA is much easier to build than an RBA. An RDTA or RDA in most cases is even easier than that. Now that I have gotten it working, and fixed it, I love it. But then I don't have anything else to compare it to. But I know a lot of people don't have my background, tools, or patience either, which is why I wouldn't suggest it for a newcomer.
I spent all weekend trying a fix, and then researching why it didn't work, or what else might be wrong. The idea of being able to use my stock BB tank, and turn it into an RTA was what sold me on it. And of course the price was a factor also.
