After following you and Stols,and a few others in the rta threads, figured the Ammit 25, Zeus, and coppervape hussar to be my tanks of choice.
The Ammit 25 was found at a price I could accept(discounted enough to cover wire and cotton bacon cost). Then found the build kit at a really good price so I jumped. LOL
You have done well! Excellent RTA. Get ready for RDA comparable flavor. You would have a hard time finding better.
Ammit 25 will be easier to learn than Zeus. I'll let you know how the Zeus performs, if it ever makes it out of China that is. lol

I realize I am late to the party but if you like the Baby Beast, you could have just bought the RBA head and used the same tank. It is dual coil but not too hard to build from what I have heard.

Also the SMOK TF-RTA has a separate single coil deck.
It is a bottom fill tank I have one. If you are a flavor chaser it is is a really good tank. I changed the drip tip but I like the look of the tank. The glass is very thin be careful.
Thank Chodi, the tank looks good but I'm with you the drip tip, it would have to go. I didn't think anyone made bottom fill tanks anymore.

Its basically a Hurricane clone. The firebird is just a prettied up version of it. The design has been around for a few years. The originals are between 150 and 400 dollars or at least were when they came out. The hurricane being like 150 ish and the firebird being at least twice that price. Severely over priced in my opinion, regardless of how well the machining might have been. I used to operate screw machines so I have my own opinions on what is actually "quality" machining.
The two screws on the bottom hold the build deck in. It was designed to have interchangeable decks. Not sure they made different ones to swap out though, I never bothered to research it.
And yes it is bottom fill, you fill it just like the kanger subtank or other tanks like that. Unscrew the bottom part and put the fluid in until you reach the top of the stem for the chimney. Which means you waste space in the tank since it can't be completely filled. It isn't hard to do though and you don't have to mess with any kind of flow control to turn on and off to keep it from leaking. Just fill it and screw the bottom back on.
The hurricanes are supposed to be fantastic mouth to lung tanks though. I would like to get one but the only clones I can find are from china and I am not sure I want to wait a month to get something. I am kind of impatient lol. I might just order a bunch of tanks I want to try all at once and wait for them to arrive, the prices are extremely low. I could get several tanks for what it would cost me to get one real kayfun.

I would highly recommend spending the money to get a good beginner RTA first. Which is WHY I am on this thread.

Wow I didn't know. I have used the RBA head for the TFV-4 previously and that thing worked perfectly, I guess I thought the BB version would be good as well. The TFV-4 version was single coil though.
Now that I have gotten it working, and fixed it, I love it. But then I don't have anything else to compare it to. But I know a lot of people don't have my background, tools, or patience either, which is why I wouldn't suggest it for a newcomer.
I spent all weekend trying a fix, and then researching why it didn't work, or what else might be wrong. The idea of being able to use my stock BB tank, and turn it into an RTA was what sold me on it. And of course the price was a factor also.

An RTA is much easier to build than an RBA. An RDTA or RDA in most cases is even easier than that.

Ease of build normally boils down deck size and wire capture method for me. Wicking plays a part sometimes as well.
Rebuildable tanks tend to have smaller decks and not so great capture methods. Also some tanks if you don't wick them correctly they will flood or leak. So yes they can be a bit fiddly at times. Keep in mind I gravitate towards moth to lung style tanks that are made for single coils. Tanks designed for direct lung tend to have larger decks. Some even have the ability to do dual coil builds. Some even have better designs to capture the wire since they can use thicker wire. Also the design of tanks are getting better every year. Manufacturers are starting to address the capture methods and leaking problems.

At least newer ones, I have some old drippers that are still a bit of a pain. Not anywhere near as hard as an older Kayfun style tank though lol. The Siren V2 is an easy capture deck (it has a different system for attaching the wires) and I found it much easier than any prior tank (although, I guess I am gaining experience). Yes, wicking is a HUGE thing as well, I am just barely getting it down but it's nice to finally have some non-leaking success...
