Well I want to share with you what I did after trying a juice that was so bad that I tasted it on everything regardless if I used another clean atomizer with another juice, Even after I bushed my teeth and used mouth wash I still had a hint of the taste LMAO!!!
Well is awesome to clean everything I have done it twice and it works great!!! like new specially the atomizer's
I came across with this video and they use the steam from the expresso machine by putting it directly to the nozzle.

I did it after using that nasty (to me) juice and after letting dry over night it worked even better than the first time and even I did it with a cartridge!!! all the juice was gone, the wick was white and puffy good stuff here is the link and it does work awesomely if you have something like it.

HOW TO Steam Clean Atomizers or Cartomizers - YouTube

I did it like for 1 min per side I really wanted that flavor out of the atomizer!!

why not rubbing alcohol?
Any drinking alcohol will do it? and why vodka?
I saw some posts regarding this and some say yes and some no, whats the difference?

Rubbing alcohol leaves a nasty after-taste. Instead of it or mouthwash, the method most often used by many long time vapers is PGA (pure grain alcohol). It has the highest alcohol concentration and has no after-taste at all and evaporates quickly.

I use a vodka soak (few hours to overnight) followed by a few cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner for my Vivi Nova and Kanger T3 heads. Rinse afterwards with water, let air dry for a day, dry burn and it's ready to go. I do it every 2 tanks for the vivi and every 3 for the Kanger. It seems to extend the usable life quite a bit -- my oldest one has run through nearly 100ml of juice and is still working great.

It's important to remove the center post from the Kanger heads and the plastic cap on the Vivis so the ultrasonic can be effective on the coils and wicks.

I use the same basic technique for attys with good results as well. The steam cleaning also works (as the OP noted, if you don't have a steam cleaner you can also use the steam output from an espresso machine), but the vodka plus ultrasonic is easier for me, plus it seems to be better at getting out lingering flavors.

I got a cheap ultrasonic cleaner at Amazon for about $13, so it didn't set me back much.

Thanks.

I soak my Kanger T3 and Vivi Nova overnight in everclear, then air dry and (occasionally) dry burn. Am ordering New Trent CD-3800A/NT-CD3800 Digital Ultrasonic for Jewelry, Eyeglass, and Dentures Cleaner: Jewelry: Amazon.com to try (should also do my glasses!).

I'm gonna have to disagree with all the info. on here regarding rubbing alcohol. I clean things as part of my profession and using rubbing alcohol is perfectly fine to clean these parts, but its going to require that you rinse the alcohol off after the cleaning, because it can leave a residue. I'd only using it on clearos, but its just fine. Make sure you dry the parts quickly if you go with this method as rust has been mentioned as an issue. You can blow the parts out with a compressor to get them dry quickly after whatever cleaning method you choose. Just don't vape with rubbing alcohol potentially in your juices, if you think that alcohol may have gotten into your juice, let it steep for a few hours to be 100% sure all the alcohol has evaporated. A lot of the people I know who make and sell juices use rubbing alcohol to clean their mixing equipment, so... Even if you're not using it to clean your devices, its been involved in some way.
