Under Singapore statuary law on tobacco (control of advertisement and sales) act

section 16 (1)

" No person shall import, distribute, sell or offer for sale any confectionery or other food product or any toy or other article that is designed to resemble a tobacco product or the packaging of which is designed to resemble the packaging commonly associated with tobacco products. "

so our PV we own somehow falls under "toys or other article that is designed to resemble a tobacco product" , even thou for us its just another mean to administer nicotine into our body similar to nicotine gum, stickers and other nicotine product.

My Altoids mod doesn't resemble a tobacco product; is that ok?

although ( correct me if i am wrong) i dont see why is illegal to use. its only illegal to sell, i think they can only confiscate it if they ever want to when they see u using it.

like i guess its illegal to see ciggs to underage person, but nothing says they can be charge for they are charge using them.

maybe i wrong, i dont know.. LOL

Another thing which is a real concern IMHO is how easily this thing can be easily abused as a drug delivery device, but camouflaged as a harmless e cigarette.

I'm curious as to what substances you're referring to. The only one I've found is ... and it's so hard to prepare a stoner would never bother.

I'd also be interested to know if using/selling a Provari or Buzz would be OK in Singapore since you'd never confuse one of those for a cigarette...

no matter what is said or known here will never be approved. Sg wants $,$ n more $. No cigarette, no tax. Then e cig will nv b approved cause its prone to be like by too many genre of people. young kids-cause of the taste-non smoker-cause of the flavours and nicotine is contained and till now no one bother to approved or even try to approved this e-cig thingy. If e cig is approved, many people will lose their jobs. NEA, cigarettes supplier and servants issuing fine for .... litter. Dont think so much, it WILL NEVER BE APPROVED. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER !!! Stop DREAMING because its SG we are in, a country that u cant even have a gum. Wats new? LoL

If there's anything that needs control, it's the juices.

i agree with the concern on abusing the pv, imagine vaping a control substance (like you know pills that are broken down into liquid form). however i still look forward to the day where pv will be sold from pharmacy in guardian. although it may never happen.

i will never happen, period. The Government's main excuse is that a youth can be easily influenced by how much 'safer' a PV is and start off with that, eventually moving on the analog smokes. The real reason? No one truly knows, prob revenue through tax? But like all other things, unless vaping changes the world (ie stats show that many smokers worldwide has shifted to ecigs) and the Government decides that it would be strategic to tax such items for revenue, it will never happen. Simple example to relate to is both our IRs, it only came about since it would bring in so much more revenue for Singapore.

No one is banning vitamins even though they look like the mother's little helpers drug delivery pills.

No body is banning cola which can camouflage a snip of Jack's finest.

Not even banning the nasty stick which has been know to house something more wacky than backy.

Maybe it already hit billion, who knows? And the fine for tax free analogs and littering fine. All these are ways how they want it to be. Cigarettes price high, offenders sell/buy tax free analogs then tio fine. Whatever it is analogs will live on, don't b surprise it will hit $20 for a pack in like 5 yrs time or lesser
