i love how this thread has become like a group hug of people who had to or are having to give away a beloved pet...sorry to the OP as i know we are way off topic but it's kind of a nice moment we're all sharing![]()
Yes pet rats, more like beggars! They are worse than dogs when it comes to begging for food. Of course I spoil them.;-)

There's an excellent product you can get called Zylkene - you'll need the specific cat version:tifa was my moms cat...tifa always took a liking to me and mom considered her my cat...but she wasnt and she lived with mom after i moved to VT and later NY. mom died a little over a year ago and catwat began driving dad crazy. so i went down to TN last January to get the catwat. i feel like it is my duty to care for catwat in honor of my mom...and like mom would be upset with sloth for giving her away
much love cuse - it is hard because our pets are such a part of our lives. heck especially dogwogs because they're so companionable - boomer even sleeps with chrissy and i sometimes, he's a huge cuddle bug

Cuse - is that a DOXIE????![]()
Several doxie lovers here in the NuThouse, cuse! Distorto's got three of 'em, humgingher has a couple, too, if I remember correctly. My 'grand-dogger" is a long haired English Cream doxie named Daisy. She follows the granddaughters around stealing food all day. Let's just say she's "PLUS SIZED" now from snatching easy food from the toddlers! Gotta love a doxie - nothing they won't eat! And so much personality in a low-ridin' body.yes ma'am, it sure is! best breed in the world, imo![]()

Sophie was 18 months old when we got 12 week old Georgia - we did hold our breath ...but they started playing right away and Soph knows exactly how to play with such a small pal! One is larger than the average for her breed, the other smaller!Oh, Pictor, they are so cute! Love their names, too. Looks like they are having a great time.
That must have been hilarious! What a duoSpeaking of pets, I must share what my African Greys just did:
Miss Merlin made a long, disgusting fart sound.
And Sophie yelled, "Ewwwww!"
LMAO!
When I was young and fairly ignorant of such things, there I was, 18 and just married ...saw a pretty green parrot for sale, so on a whim, brought it home ...or to be precise, walked down the street to the garage where my husband worked at the time. One African Grey is hilarious. Two are priceless!
