Bossnorma, now that you are Officially a REONaut, you should post a thread on this forum (Reos mods) something like "My First Reos !", and add a few pictures. By this time tomorrow you will have at least 20 new friends, and a whole lot of friendly advice.
And, if he's not to busy, a 'Welcome' from redeyedancer. The man who made your Reos.

Good Idea Papaw!

I'm not too happy right now. My nuppin' came today, along with new imr 2200 20amp batts and omnitester (from rtdvapor) The omnitester is useless! It won't read the resistance of any of my attys! Not the RM2s, not the kayfuns... I put an old evod on it and it did read that :glare: I was going to start building the nuppin but now I don't have anything to check resistance unless my build is .8Ω or above. (using a provari as a resistance checker) The well seems way too deep to make a connection to make a reading. The description stated that this thing will read any 510 atty but it doesn't at all.

I emailed rtdvapor through their website and asked for advise on what to do because I essentially spent $20 on a piece of junk!

Can you attach an ego adapter to it and screw it into the reader?

Kind of a cheesy work around...but might work...

Because, I am silly like that....going to try it myself.

(sent from Mars, it's not as red as I imagined.)

WalMart, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc. has Digital Display Multi Tester for $20 or less. These include several Ohms ranges. Just set for the lowest Ohm Range, touch the ends of the leads together to get a Variance reading. Mine is usually 0.3 ohms, so I subtract 0.3 from whatever the final reading is. Touch the ends of the leads to the top of the posts, and you will get an Ohm reading across the installed coil. If I am building two coils, I check both coils to ensure they are the same resistance (ohms).
Donnah - If your reading is fluctuating wildly, it might not be your tester, it could be a faulty spot with the wire you are using. I would throw that coil away and try to wrap another. If your tester still fluctuates, then it's the tester. DDM is the way to go to check Ohms !

Hmmm... got it built. Both coils came out to 1Ω. Both coils are lighting up more or less at the same time. Since I'm grandless at the moment, I put it on the Roller and am dripping in it. I don't know yet.... it's kinda hot. Not at all what I'm used to (stock RM2) I know the coils aren't real pretty. I'm not sure if both coils are exactly the same. The problem with testing this on a multimeter is there are no posts in the nuppin... Not exactly. I'll play with it some more tomorrow.
