When you receive your Grand, I heartily recommend that you cut a small angle into the very end of the draw tube. Sometimes the tube will suction to the bottom of the juice bottle. By cutting a small angle into the end of the draw tube you can prevent this from happening.

Thanks Papaw...I will do it!

You could apply a light coat of auto wax to the exterior finish of you Reos while waiting for your Cyclone.

By the way, I woke up at a Fuel Stop in Austinville, VA this morning (I-77 between Wytheville, VA and Mt. Airy, NC) and there was a UPS Tractor with two 'Pup' trailers pulled off to the side, asleep. I couldn't help but wonder if anyone's Vaping Supplies were waiting there.....

I was just informed last night that the new 510 connector is still 6- 8 weeks out. Debating with myself if I want to wait that long or just get the haircut and contacts now....

Does this mean if I want a new 510 connection I will have to send her bacK?

Papaw, she arrived today,,,GORGEOUS mod..the cyclone arrived as well. So I built a 0.8 ohm coil (on the nose). 6 wraps of 28G Kanthal. I have it all wicked and ready to go for when the batteries and drip tip arrive. I will take pics tomorrow, I guess.

Cannot wait to squonk it!

Drifter, I watched your KGD video today...nice tutorial!

Actually, either I am lucky or Reos are just that good (the latter probably) but I have never, not once had an issue with a Reos. And I've had 11 over two years time, most for a year or more. I might just get the Haircut and Contacts for my older Grand, as I am still debating with myself if I would actually 'need' the new 510...
Want to see Pictures when you get her set up now ! :pop:

I haven't heard anything about "new 510s" What's going on?
Both of my grands are packaged up for their trip to the barber tomorrow. The Nuppin', batts and omnitester have shipped! I need a tester because I've always just checked resistance with a provari but it only reads down to .8Ω so .8Ω is the lowest I've ever tried to build.

Reo's have been working fine for years with the current 510. Only issue I've heard of is people who hoople the center pin messing with it or stripped threads from drops with the RBA getting shifted in the threads.

Do I plan to change a few to the new style, sure at some point. Just for the apocalypse, as that is the only part I cannot easily create and replace. I would not wait on a purchase or a hair cut for the new SS 510s

Beautiful REOS. Welcome to real dripping flavor without the drip !
As far as trimming the feed tube, wait and try it as it is. Maybe yours will be just right, as I haven't had to trim all of mine. But if you encounter 'Dry Squonks', where you push the bottle and nothing rises up to the RBA, then you may have to 'trim' the bottom END of your feed tube. You don't shorten it, one side should stay the same length. Just cut an ever-so-slight angle into the very bottom of the tube. If your feed tube suctions itself to the bottom of the on-board bottle, that's how you would correct it.
Still playing with my RM5. After several failed attempts at twisted coils, vertical coils, parallel coils... I went back to what I know. 8/9 wrap, 29g on 3/32 drill bit. Twin 1.2 ohm (0.6 total) with fresh rayon wicks.

Bossnorma, now that you are Officially a REONaut, you should post a thread on this forum (Reos Mods) something like "My First Reos !", and add a few pictures. By this time tomorrow you will have at least 20 new friends, and a whole lot of friendly advice.
And, if he's not to busy, a 'Welcome' from redeyedancer. The man who made your Reos.
