You have to come along and make me look like a jerk hahaha, the bad experience with the charger has probably made me a little too bitter hey
I always seem to post what I'm thinking which isn't always a good idea..Smarty pants !....now I have my fingers crossed you will take it as a joke, I think I'll take my little head and return to a dark corner...that just sounds even worse now, oh nevermind 
forgot about this topic. This is actually not my setup. I was at a friends house. We were playing poker when I heard the pop. This was his battery and charger. It is a samsung 25R. Judging by his other 25Rs this one should have been in fairly good shape. I didn't see the battery in the charger. By the time I got there he had gotten it out already. He said he didn't put it in backwards. The other side is only minimally damaged. At the time I didn't really think about it being backwards but after reading the comments here I think maybe he was too embarrassed to admit it.
The only chargers I will buy right now are xtar. I have a VP4 and a VP2.

I doubt it was the Samsung 25r batteries, as soon as I saw the Efest luv4 that was all I needed to see, I wouldn't trust that charger at all. I had one and the led screen went all weird and was reading the battery as empty when it was fully charged and was still pumping charge into it, the batteries got really hot and if I hadn't of noticed it then it would of been me posting pictures like this. I'm sure some have used them fine but their QC sucks.. I would never bring one of those into my house again..Efest, Im so glad you don't make your own batteries !!
The quality of the charger and the metal sliders are junk, the whole thing sinks of cheap unsafe production lines with the end result being this.
Does not matter what power the charger can put out or what Brand/Quality the charger is:
If the Battery is shorted Trouble is coming and the charger isn't going to stop it.

I have an Efest LUC V4 and on one bay it continues to charge a fully charged bettery.. it reads 4.1V and justs keep charging.
I mainly use an Xtar VP4 now but either way, I never leave the charger unattended.

I also used to use 18650 batteries, for about a year or two I believe.
And I also put them in the charging bag, charger and all.
I did an experiment and put my fingers on the charger while charging, through said bag.
The heat was minimal as far as I am concerned.
But I hesitate to suggest such actions, given the fear that has been expressed by some.
Although I am super perfectly fine with it as far as my life goes.
I'd like more information from those who say this is a bad idea with charger inside the bag.
And I guess I mean more than just random speculation.
And I stand by my post above where I advocate for more discussion on this topic.
But for me, I don't care, because now I'm exclusively using Ego Twists.
And a QUALITY lipo charging bag is where I place my bets when it comes to burning my house down.
Notice I put QUALITY in large font.
Not something one buys on EBay for $1.35 with free shipping.
I just thought it might be nice to get to the bottom of this charger bag scare.
But I suspect that's never going to happen.

My batteries, nor charger get hot when charging. I have all my electronics on voltage regulators, though. Not sure that makes a difference...

I think all newbies who use mechs and especially hybrid mechs should have a sturdy, lidded metal box nearby. Those mods should come in ammo boxes...
Let me get this straight. You went from using 18650 mods to using eGo batteries? Or did you use 18650 batteries for something other than vaping? If you used them for vaping I submit you are probably the only person in the world that went from 18650 mod vaping to eGo vaping. It's usually the other way around lol.

All someone would need would be a thermometer with a temperature probe stuck in the bag, watch the temperature while charging to see if it gets warm.
I have a thermometer like that, but no bag, or I'd do it.

Yes, I know I am quite different from almost every vaper on earth.
I have opined that I WILL be the last vaper on earth using standard 510 atomizers.
I used 18650 batteries on the Chucks you see in my avatar.
But they were only 3.8 to 4.2 volts and that wasn't my speed.
So then I switched to the 5.0 volt NiMh batteries for awhile.
But when the Ego Twist came out, I went there.
My goal is always smaller.
I don't vape more than a milliliter per day, and it's been that way for six years since I started.
So various things that concern other vapers don't concern me.
I would just treat chargers like a lit candle, don't leave them near anything flammable. If someone has the resources and is concerned a metal box is easy to acquire, I prefer them to battery bags because they don't keep the heat in.
I agree. The LUC 4 does claim reverse polarity, over charging and short circuit protections, but it's never a good idea to trust batty chargers no matter who the manufacturer is.
Always a good idea to inspect batteries every so often and have some of the following on hand as well. Very cheap...
