Found it for $74.95 at Value Vapers. I usually just tighten my clearomizer finger tight. Hopefully that won't cause any problems.

Good Price, Good device. Id say take your chances and be careful. I'm not even all that careful and mine looks brand new after 3 months of heavy use.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
That's good to know Dax -I wasn't sure what it was for.

I've been using an ego/510 adapter because I hate the way EVODs screw in to the recessed head of the evic, but I don't use the adapter on my Protanks - should I be? That would make a big space between the atty and the head - wouldn't that compromise the threading or would using a beauty ring help that? Or better yet, I have an airflow controller, I guess as mentioned, that would save the threading too.

I would never think on use NOALOX or any lubricant on the atomizer conection, most 510 atomizer have the air hole in there and you will be vaping noalox, that is recomended for battery cap and telescoping tubes and i also would not use either cuz with time will create some gunk in the threading

I have been looking at the air flow controller, and after this report, I will just go ahead and get a few of them. I might as well protect my threads, and these just make sense. Controls air flow, and protects my threads, they are only about 8 bucks, that's nothing compared to a new control head.

With $8 you mostly will buy 3 of them

I just found a air flow controller, that I have not seen before, I was going to attach a link but i don't think I am supposed too. I found it at Indy vaper shop, I am not sure if it would help or not, but it does attach to the ego threads.

From Smok Tech, this is a device designed to control the airflow to the eGo battery when using 510 tanks, atomizers, or cartomizers.

This unit attaches to the eGo battery where one would normally attach an eGo cone cover.

Attach the controller first, then attach your tank or cartomizer.

Four divets encircle the base.

When the adjustable ring is screwed all the way down it completely covers the divets so air flow can only come from the connector area. You can get more air flow by adjusting this ring up.

We recommended that you screw the controller all the way up to completely open the air divets, then attach your tank to the platform, then screw back down to close off and restrict flow as necessary.

Please note that the Controller does not work with eGo tanks, cartomizers or clearomizers as those cover the outer threads on the eGo battery.

This is just a big ugly "beautty ring"

Not sure this will be a good ego airflow controller. I can do the same with my ego beauty rings and will look better, this will cover the notches on the 510 conection of the battery same as a beatty ring that came with protank or those cheap $1.50 with no notches

And will not help the OP problem since this controller does not have dedicated 510 threading, is just like a ego cone that will restrict the airflow to the 510 of the device

Guess it's all in luck of the draw. I change top devices several times a day and mine is still in good shape. 6 Months now.

I suggested To another user(z-Max) with same issues, to get the Ari flow controller like LiteCigusa carries. Perma mount it and your devices should not give you any more problems.

I ended up buying one of these and have been using it on my Segelei Mini. I really like how it tightens up the draw on my Protank. So my eVic is just sitting there now. Perhaps I should put it up in the classifies to someone who knows how to retap these.

I still find it hard to believe, that no body makes an adapter, that would work, its not like it would be hard to make. Personally if it was me, I would buy a new head, cause I like the evic, but I would at least consider, getting a easy head for it, I just saw one for $20.00

I think it's more of a matter of demand. I've seen plenty of batteries with 510 threading and no eGo threads, but not too many with eGo threads and no 510 threads.

Ok I just read up on this thing, and it screws on to the ego threads, then you attach your 510 into the top of this. my local vaper shop stocks these. I am going to look at them myself, but if I understand this thing correctly you could use it, to use a evic head, with the 510 threads stripped out. you might have to take the top cap off but it would work, I thought it had a male 510 conector on the bottom, but one of the pictures, clearly shows female ego threads on the bottom. I will just buy one of these to see for sure, I just want to have this option for the future, if OP's problem happens to my evic.

SNAP OUT OF IT. You are looking at The 510 Base threads that screw INTO a 510 fitting on a device and The Female 510 that your Tank/Device screws into. NO EGO THREADS.

If any 510 threading is left, this might solve an issue with attachments. If the 510 threads are completely unusable - No Help

And.......As Stated earlier......... No one Makes an EGO THREADED ADAPTER.

From SMOKtech this is an adjustable air flow controller and platform for your tanks. This threads into any 510 connection as opposed to our other air flow controller product which threads over the outside eGo cone threads.

The other mentioned Has no Top Threads. It simply runs up against the tank base to block air flow.
