I have noticed I have to turn the temp way higher than I thought I would with ti coils on my d2. I push it to 550 to get a good vape and its still pretty cool. Almost like the presets for ti coils were the same for ni200.

My dual 5 wrap 26g ti coils come out to about 0.10

anyone else have this issue or similar one? If I ran nickel at 550 it would be wayyy to hot.

yes I know how to set the room temp. My coils are close to identical and evenly spaced with no shorts

I realize that i shoudlnt care as long as its vaping right, but that temp scares me a bit still

Right behind you...
Are you spacing them a lot? That has a significant impact on vape temps in my experience.

And you might want to try using more wraps to get your resistance up on that dual coil setup. I think you'll find accuracy increases, and so does flavor and vapor production.

Try 8, 9 or 10 wraps per side, tight spaced, see how that works.

This isnt directed at anyone in particular, and Im not saying that a lot of these lower end (and some of the higher end) TC mods dont have issues, particulalry with non-Ni200 wires but...there
seems to be a theme developing whereby a lot of people (and I have been guilty to some extent) are blaming their crappy builds on shortcomings of the mod. There is a saying
that a bad workmen blames his tools! I will get down from my soapbox now and prepare my fire resistant pants for the ensuing flaming...lol!

While I tend to vape at the lower end of output and temperature, personally I'd think something was wrong with my build if I were having to push more than 30J/W into it.

26AWG is a popular Ti gauge used for dual coils, (I'll tend to use 28-30AWG) I'm thinking the wire/wick ratio is not favorable or there is just to much wick for your build to heat up. Before tossing the build I'd try re-wicking with less, carefully dry firing and squeezing the coils together with ceramic tweezers to make less spacing or contact coils and/or starting over with a higher resistance target (more wraps), smaller ID and/or smaller diameter wire.

IMHO the only limitation of the single 18650 mods is run time.

what?? Does the D2 have vendetta against dual coils? It will only not like them if they arent built properly and dont match in resistance...Its not a problem unique to the
    D2!!
i can feel that man, and i thought of that, tried a few builds in my dot mod, it just seems to peter out with dual coils on it. seems lathargic.
