I stumbled on a blue cig at a walgreens almost a year ago and soon after found this site and purchased my first riva along with boge lr cartomizers. Since then i have enjoyed vaping as it has kept me away from smoking analogs completely. But recently i havent been enjoying it much. My boge lr cartos dont last more than a few good days of vaping, and even many i put on to vaping cant deal with the "long and complicated" set up. I have even started smoking analogs again due to my equipment being unreliable.

now i think its time for a change. I need something that will deliver a consistent vaping experience without too much refill. At the moment i refill my cartos after every vaping session just to keep up and not run dry. after a bit of research i found that ego t tank setups seem fairly affordable and reliable as well as provide a large amount of juice which can easily be topped off if need be. After a bit more research i find people saying that vision clearomizers are a nice upgrade as they get the job done with little to no setup. However, i hear these clearomizers are not as reliable and almost require you to vape while bungee jumping as you have to be suspended upside down for optimal vaping experience.

anyway i was wondering what peoples experiences are who have tried both and which would be best. Also some recommended vendors and/or brands. thanks!

ps. where can i find a good passthrough to go along with my setup?

I sympathize. Same thing happened to me last week, I was about to call it quits. Then I found a Kanger T2 and it started all over for me. Fill it up and vape. No muss, no fuss. Works consistently well on eGo batteries. If you like CE3 try the Kanger T3, bottom coil. I don't have one yet, but I'll buy as soon as they get here.

I'm waiting for the iTaste VV to arrive. It's a passthrough in addition of being a good VV, with an LCD display. There's a review here on the forum, to top it off it's not expensive.

MY best results came from a variable voltage PV. I have a twist and a provari and the newer clearo's that are rebuildable and my all time fav is the vivi nova. The vivi gives the as much vapor as I want or as little mixed with the vv PV. I still keep a ego C for testing juice and plan on something like a Genesis but I'm as happy as a clam right now. I have some other tank types but i can't get the volume out of the ones i have. Now I'm going at light speed on diff flavors.

I agree, when the current set up is just not getting it, time to upgrade! For me the answer was pyrex glass tanks with carto inside. Best thing I ever did, minimal filling, minimal fiddling just fill vape and go :) I have quite a few Twists and a provari, they work great. I also have a few wick tanks by Smokteck the Screw tank/or Titan is it's new name. They are more fiddly than the carto tanks, but the flavor is great. Wick tanks take more fiddling than carto tanks tho. Carto tanks are very reliable and fiddle free for me. bnrk

the ego t tank was my very first pv type device. to sum up that nightmare, it was unfulfilling and a pain.
the vision clearomizers were the very second thing i put on top of my ego batts, and it was infinitely more tolerable.
in my own journey though, i've found carto tanks to be the most consistent and pleasant way to vape. i'm sure i'm outnumbered by those who love their preferred variation of clearos, though.

In my opinion, both are good options. I have some flavors that I prefer in my Kanger T2s, some that I like in my CE3s (bottom coil), and others that are just perfect in my carto tank. Like others, I would also recommend getting an eGo-C Twist or comparable VV battery for the best experience in a compact PV.

i ordered 2 mini vivi novas and a vv battery shortly after reading the first reply of this post and watching some reviews on youtube. but are they definitely a better alternative to tanks? im exited to try this new method for vaping and hope its just as good if not better than my current setup.

Well, as you saw when you made your purchase, the Nova is a tank, but not with a cartomizer.
Some people are concerned about the filling in cartomizers, so you won't have that. You'll
have the wick. If you ever want to, you can change the wick to something that might be better
for you, like cotton.

But I am SO glad I bought my Viva Nova, and then I was SO glad when I bought the mini Nova.
They are excellent. You won't find many people complaining about them.

got my order today and to say that i am satisfied would be a huge understatement. i purchased a vv battery and a vv passthrough from gotvapes (this passthrough is beautiful). i am thoroughly impressed. i used to chain vape my riva continuously and never rally feel satisfied. but now i can take s good few hits and not feel like i need anymore for a while. and much cleaner setup. no leaks. ordering more heads and other accessories now..
