i can't get a satisfactory vape of a protank II anymore.

I have never had so much satisfaction vaping on any other clearo/carto/tank or even RBA/RDA. Rebuild yours with 1.5mm Ekowool and make sure to add a few strands (2 to 3) of ekowool thread as flavor wicks above the coil. This is to reduce the flow of eLiquid to the fire chamber. Try it if you have ekowool, you're gonna love it 
Been vaping on my PT2 since my previous post in this thread. The juice is about 10% left and still no leaks/gurgles/etc. Very thick clouds, flavor and TH. Almost perfect!

My Story
I was happily vaping single coil cartotanks for a year or more when the Pro Tank 1 came out. I thought it looked cool and people were saying good things so I got one. Gurgling ,Burning, Leaking and Horrible taste! In the drawer it went. A couple weeks or months later everybody had a fix for it. I watched some Youtube and read all the newest fixes. I tried everything and finaly got it working good
. 4 or 5 hits later I drop it on a tile floor and break it.
Fast forward : Pro Tank II comes out Im like this is New and Improved and I got the other one to work. So a week later I try it out and it does the same things that the old model did. I was like (I am so stupid) so i cleaned it rebuilt it with all the latest tips. I fixed all the problems but after those previously mentioned 4 or 5 good hits the Horrid taste was back.
I have vowed to never waste another minute on this thing again!!!
Carto Tanks for life!! and a few rebuildables when im bored or want to drip.
So now when I see someone recomend it to a Noob I just cringe and think about how I would have given up on vaping years ago if the Pro Tank was all I had...

I do not particularly love it. It's still airy and seems to dry up fairly quickly with dual coils. If you are sitting around taking a tap every minute or two say watching TV on a lighter nic juice. It can get dry. I haven't noticed it getting gurgly or flooding, or leaking even when low so far. But it's still basically new.
The woman uses it primarily though, I do not.
I like, and prefer the mini PT 2 over it despite the somewhat restricted draw. I have had good luck with it so far.
When I first got my PT2 I was sliiiightly disappointed... and then I got the EVOD VV and this is perfect for the PT2 or any other MOD of that instance... I did feel it was airy also, but I adjusted the cone to make the vaping slightly tighter. I've gotten used to this PT2 and bough another. I love them. If anything... it's the damn atties that are the main problem when things start to go wrong.
I dont use my protank 2 anymore. Draw is too tight, it leaks all over my mod and is just a crappy tank from my experience. I have replaced and rebuilt coils. Yet I see people happy with them. I almost think there must have been a bad run of them. Some got lucky, I didnt.

The draw should be very airy. Occasionally, a poorly machined head (maybe?) or something will cause the draw to be tight, but that's not how it's supposed to be.
I have ZERO draw when tightened dow to a mod, even without the thread cover/beauty ring. ZERO as in no draw. The air holes seem to be positioned correctly right up against the base of the tank but were extremely small. I also tested multiple stock heads and those aren't the issue. I drilled the air holes out to 1/16" which should be ample, but still have absolutely no draw at all. Any other ideas?
The PT2 was just OK when I first got it. But I just recently bought the Aero base airflow controller for it and WOW...it's a huge difference. Now I don't use anything but my PT2.
Simple beginners level "tweaking" and the PT2's mini and fullsize even the EVOD run like a champ...(even though I like the AGA-T2 genesis RBA better)
But I guess some just want hassle free vaping...can't say as I blame em

Thanks for the video. That guy made it so easy! I just rewicked my Vapeonly mini bcc and it already improved the vapor and flavor.

Any normal person would track back to see if anyone has replied to their post - even if no alert - but not you by the looks of it!
You know what... There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Protanks. It's Kangers Atomizers that are the problem. They are pish! That's the problem. There's two problems in total actually. The one I just mentioned, and the other - the user!
You forgot a third problem: Air flow issues when attached to some devices. Too little air flow will create too much vacuum in the fire chamber, drawing in too much juice, which will cause gurgling, flooding, and leaking. Solution: Get an Aerotank base.
