vaping is being treated exactly like cigarettes. i was at the airshow yesterday walking around vaping. someone comes up to me like i am a criminal, there is no "smoking" on the flight line if you dont stop i will call the sheriff. that's how he started the conversation. i told him it was absurd, there is no fire hazard with vaping but i said i would comply. there were no signs indicating that you cant vape or smoke there. he gave me a lecture about planes venting fuel, whatever i used to take flight lessons and am aware that planes vent fuel and the risks of the exposed lit end of a cigarette. vaping posses zero such risks.
i currently have a CDL and drive dump truck, i am unwilling to put up with the attitude towards vaping. it is an immediate turn off towards a job. i formerly worked at a factory and was fired for vaping outdoors. no suspension, no written warning. the policy was changed 3 times to the point where i couldn't even vape in the car. vaping was lumped in with tobacco and a violated there moronic policy, they told me to seek nicotine addiction treatment. this occurred at after hours when i was left there by myself. they met me in the parking lot and told me to go home. i now have a class A license and there are allot of trucking jobs that just dont care about smoking or vaping. if i were to apply for a job and i see no smoking on the property signs i am immediately no longer interested in the job. a designated area should be provided to vape or smoke, and people should be allowed to do their jobs and not be harassed.
im really getting tired of this country, and liberal idiots with "safe spaces". we no longer have freedoms. smoking and now vaping is being treated like a criminal act. i am proud of our national heritage but disgusted at what we have become. this is why i voted trump, not because i thought he was going to be a great president but because i didnt want hillary in office AT ANY cost. more liberal agendas no thanks.
