Hi all,

Many apologies for the latest performance issues - we have located the issue and are actively resolving it. I'm not fully cognizant of the issues, but it relates to some upgrades that the host have carried out that have negatively affected us.

Please do continue to report any slow downs - we do read these threads, and it gives us a very good heads up. I'll report back when I know more.

Hey everyone - I know this is really frustrating but we are looking at what we can do to fix it. Coming up with lots of potential solutions, but just have to work out the best way of dealing with it.

There's been a real increase in traffic in the last few days and that's what we think has caused the bulk of the issues - we are also taking another angle wrt the long-standing issues that some members have been having.

We will probably need to update the servers again, and this time with even more spare capacity. Our hosts will be looking at whether there's an issue with outbound traffic and certain networks.
Just wanted to thank you for giving us a much needed response/resolution to the issues. Everything has been loading great for me since about 10pm EST last night. It's like the good ol' ECF I used to enjoy again. Many thanks for getting to the bottom of things.

Phew! Let's hope it stays that way.

If anyone else is having problems, please do post here. Details are always helpful, so time, error message, template you're using (if not the default, new template) - anything you can think of!

I'm going to be keeping a close eye on site speed and try to get to the bottom of what's been causing these problems.

Using an iPad the pages still fluctuates between narrow and full size.

I'm in Kirsch also, things have improved considerably--the only slowish refresh is on My Posts, but nothing like it was before. No Errors today. Hope I'm not going to jinx it... :D

[The only problem I have now is Live Chat--no matter what I do I end up in Live Chat--old habits...]

Thanks SJ and magneticat! :)

There was a 1-2 minute glitch that caused the internal server errors around 5:08. Those should be resolved. Keep the reports of other errors so they can be tracked down. They should be less frequent now if not completely resolved.

All in all, recently it has been quite a considerable improvement from the last many months. And it's very good to see the communications from the tech staff, too. Thank you.

It claims Malware from "e-cig forums.com" is getting onto the e-cigarette.forum.com (this one,ECF). I thought it was kinda funky myself  I never saw such a thing. But I don't know about this stuff that's why I took a screen shot of it to post here

i don't think it's too much to worry about. aggie must be running chrome which is known for false alarms.
i had it happen with my sig and fotoflexer was declared off-limits by sarge because of it. there probably are circumspect pictures on that site but it's being used by millions and fotoflexer is the backbone of tinypic and pb. i imagine in aggie's case ecf was flagged for the same reason
