Looks really nice but... I would dremel out that thing and fit a kayfun :D :D :D

Tony, I keep hearing about the kayfun and been doing some reading. I'm interested but not sure which is best to get. I know there are plenty of clones along with what, 3 or 4 different kayfun models? For the VTR, I wouldn't know which is best if a person wants to minimize any alterations to that loop at the top.

The only kayfun that would fit is the Kayfun Mini.

Without any modification, yes only the kayfun mini. Since it has been discontinued by Svoemesto, you either can find a second hand one or a clone. In case of a clone, the ivogo one seems to be the best. I have one myself and it's top notch. Angel cigs has it at a great price.

The only downside of the mini is that the working base is quite narrow (it's a 14mm atty) and it's really long even in standard configuration.

If you decide for a regular 22mm kayfun, I personality prefer the lite v2 +

I find kayfuns massive so I only run them in nano mode and the lite is shorter than the 3.1

Either get the original plus a nano kit (if you're into Nanos) or buy a clone. In case of clones, after a lot of research, I went for the ehpro nano (lite v2+ base with short chimney and poli nano body)
They work quite nice and the machining is very good. Don't forget to disassemble it completely first and clean it from any residues from factory.

I also have a nano kit quartz kit on order from fasttech because I prefer glass to plastic but it's optional and not even sure it will fit. The original also comes with a poli tank.

Good luck

This rayon stuff is powerful... I'm experienced experiencing a nicotine buzz right now... Jeez this is hitting hard...

I guess I will have to cut down the nic to 12mg soon...

I don't think I've experienced anything like that, though I've read a lot of posts about getting a much better nic hit; maybe it's because I vape such a low nic level, usually 10.5mg or lower -- I know I can vape from testers at vape shops that are 12mg, and only get a very mild dizziness, and only if I sit there and test a lot. My only problem with 12mg is that I can't vape that for a long time; if I was employed and had to just vape on breaks, I probably *would* vape 12mg, I just find it a little too high for my all-day all-the-time habit. So I usually stick to about 9 or 10mg in the daytime, and bring it down a little in the evening, to maybe 7 or 8 mg.

I started with 36mg 4 years ago then dropped it to 24mg... Suspended vaping for two years to get a nice pneumonia and some bronchitis. On return, started at 24mg, cut it down two months ago to 18mg which I've been vaping now.

Not sure how much I vape but it must be around 140ml per month which comes out at 5ml per day

I almost made an order today... Shame on me.
Found an eLiquid sample shop here in Europe so I filled the shopping cart with 20 menthol flavors and proceeded to check out... Then I thought a bit and activated my 48h cooling off period and put the order on hold...

Let's see if I manage to control myself during the weekend lol

How are you all doing?

Broke at the moment. Well not entirely, but too broke for buying vape gear.

Monday's payday, but we got a bunch of stuff on the budget this time; when I smoked, $88 would HAVE TO be reserved for cigarettes, so I'll reserve $44 for vape gear, probably just some ejuice; I feel like I'm still saving money, since it's half what I would have spent on cigarettes, but $44 worth of ejuice is a pretty good bit! :D Don't really need anything else just at the moment, so that's a $44 win! :thumb:

How I understand you :(

Well I think I'm not going to buy that samples. My adv isn't cheap but considering that my consumption of it isn't that high and that I'm buying in bulk, I rather pay the extra money and don't need to worry with formulas and buying flavoring, enhancers and other stuff without any warranties that I will able to clone it.

I'm now drooling over the erlkoenigin in nano size but the company isn't selling them as standalone units yet so in order to have what I want, I would need to buy the standard rta plus the conversion kit and then maybe add a Pyrex glass... That's over $200 easily... Way too much for an atty...
I would buy it as a standalone kit now but I bet that Chinese are going to produce a clone in a matter of weeks...

I'd bet money on it, and I'm really not a betting person. :D Since I've found these Tobeco KFL+ tanks, I think I'm done experimenting with new tanks; these are just perfect to me. However I have found a really nice mech that will most likely be my next purchase -- my first excursion with Fasttech, too, the Galileo -- it's just 21mm, and it tapers at the top, so it wouldn't look goofy with a slender atty on it, it telescopes, which is my preference, AND it has both 510 and eGo threads -- and costs just $22.84. So in a few weeks when we're a bit more flush, I'll be ordering that. It's so cool looking, the more I look at it, the better I like it! :D

I need to stop buying vape gear but I cant control myself. Currently I am waiting for a second Cana mini, Rose v2, 454 big block, blue Tugboat, copper Plume Veil, a new Nitecore charger, random drip tips and some mod cases to arrive in the post. There is probably other stuff that I have forgotten too, ugh its a disease!

How can I fight this compulsion to buy shiny vapie thingies?

Be as broke as I am?

Seriously... I just ran our budget for the coming payday, and it's worse than I thought; I had to adjust that $44 I allowed for vapegear down to $25, which is just for the blueberry muffin ejuice I need to get, since I'm nearly out and I vape it almost as much as my regular Virginia. So it'll just be $9.95x2 (since I have to get both 6mg and 12mg to make my correct mg level), plus $3.50 shipping, so it'll be just a bit less than $25.

:(

A budget is a good idea to reign in the spending, I think I should start with that. I really shouldn't have ordered so many things as I need to renew my car insurance before the end of the month and that is a hefty bill.

I know I cant use more than one device at a time but I just cant help it, there is no way I have saved cash over smoking analogues!

Well I think I even have to dispense with the $25 for ejuice, and make a pmt to the hospital; after I pay my VISA bill on the 20th, 5 or 6 days after that I can then order my <$25 worth of ejuice. So I guess I'll be running out of blueberry muffin before I can get more, which totally BLOWS.

I don't look at my bank account so I don't get depressed :)

Worse that can happen is that I can't complete an order as the credit card is refused... Then I know I can't spend more on vaping or other toys until next month... Works ok.

Now on a more serious note... Is it just me or does rayon need a couple of ml of juice to "bed in"? Seems like after wiking an atty it's OK but after a vaping one or two ml of juice it becomes great?

For now I have more work wicking with rayon than with Ekowool as it seems more subjective (with Ekowool I know for sure how much I'm putting in... With rayon I don't)

Yeah I do think it gets better after it's been in use for a little while. Today the wick I put in a few days ago tasted a bit off, but when I took the KFL apart, it wasn't really black, so I just rinsed it out and blotted it, juiced it, blotted it again, then primed it and put it back together and refilled, and it tasted just fine. I love rayon, when I finally get the right amount.

I have to know every detail of the budget and bank account, since I'm the one who makes the budget and gets the bills paid. Works better if I handle it -- we tend to stay "on budget" better. ;)

Oh, in my house things work differently. Each one has responsibility paying certain bills, food is whoever goes to the supermarket and the rest is each one's business. I don't care about my wife's account and she doesn't snoop around mine. I can't even imagine it being any other way.

Ok... Little setback today

I bought a nano quartz kit to replace the broken clear tank on my nano kayfun (broke it the other day and put a green one on it... Wife kept saying it looked hideous and I will be an old man before my fasttech order arrives and since I read those nano glass things tend to break, I just ordered one from Spain).

Problem was that it was such a small item that I had to add 100ml of a fresh base nic to try out... Grrr... Oh well...

On a more positive note, I also had put a 4nine, nemesis and tree of life mech mod in the shopping basket but after careful research, I deleted them before placing the order.

Remember when I sanded down the kayfun connector to have it flush with the evic s and zMax? Yeah well, now the positive screw is flush with the 510 threads and that's a big no-no on a 4nine that uses some kind of hybrid top cap... It would produce a hard short with that atty. Glad I did my homework.

Would love to have an izzy tiny 18350 mech mod for stealth vaping but too scared of them now... I did like to see the mm Nanos and it's not too expensive (authentic) but nevertheless...

And how was your weekend? :)

Mine was pretty crappy actually. Another bill from the surgeon who took out my appendix; not sure what part of "no job, no insurance, no money" they don't understand. The hospital reduced my bill by 96.55%, based on our financial disclosures, so I sent the surgeon another copy of that letter, AND a copy of those disclosures, so they can see what "barely surviving" looks like. I also pointed out that a) it was an emergency, not an elective or premeditated plan to stiff a bunch of doctors, and b) that at the current amount they're billing me, at $20/mo, which is all I can afford to pay any of these docs, it would take me 9 and a quarter years to finish paying them, but that I would throw any collection agency letters into the trash, and since they have been advised to that effect, to sell the debt to a collection agency would constitute fraud.

A shouting match with the spouse, who apparently threw away the printed payment confirmations from my last round of bill paying, while he *insists* that I just didn't print them... though I very clearly recall doing so, and I know I would not have shut down PaintShopPro, with which I "screen grab" the confirmation pages for printing, before actually doing that printing. His memory is like swiss cheese, and then he blames whatever-it-is on others.

And of course the horrible (?) budget for tomorrow's payday. If the check is ok, then it may not be too bad, but it's really going to depend on how big the check is. But we did figure out a way for me to order my ejuice with just a 2 day rather than 2 wk delay; once I make the payment on his credit card and it posts, he said I can use it to order the juice.

Really glad I've got WTA in my ejuice, or all this would be much worse -- it might not actually BE worse, but it would definitely feel that way. At the moment I'm just on the border of depressed, ...... off, suicidal, and mayhem-acidal, but somehow managing to sit here and calmly type. Thank god for WTA.

I feel for you. I guess that's the "dark side" of your system. That's something that is hard to understand for somebody like me that doesn't live over there.

Here, if you have good insurance (most don't), you can choose any fancy hospital and you basically will pay peanuts for most procedures (there is always a part you have to pay). Obviously the hospital you choose has to have an agreement with your insurance company or system.

However, if you don't have insurance, you go to a public hospital and get the procedure there. It might take longer, you might die in the waiting room (although pretty rare) but it's free and despite all the complaining (me included) they are pretty competent. Heck, I know of some cases where the private hospitals didn't had the resources to help and sent the patients to the district hospital (which is public).

Not sure if it is true but a couple year's ago I wanted to make some short holidays in NY (I ended going to Malta, long story) but one thing I remember well was the travel agency warning us to take a special insurance because, in her words, "they going to let you die on the street if you don't have one".
I also remember a case that was here all over the news (because, like I said, EU has a health care system in most countries so we can't identify ourselves with your system) about a couple of girls that went for holidays to the states and one of them collapsed somewhere over there and at the hospital they discovered a brain tumor that was promptly removed. She returned to Portugal and a few weeks later she received a shocking $100.000 bill to pay... Not sure how it ended but at the time I was thinking ...? They charge emergency procedures? Lol, I know I must sound silly but I'm so unaware of how things work over there and in the health department things are so different...
