No shame here. The whole "rapture" business was invented in the 1800s by a disaffected ex-Anglican cleric. I think it pretty much died out in England, but boy-oh-boy does it still have its adherents in the U.S.
I did see a funny bumpersticker a few years back: "Warning: In case of Rapture, this vehicle will be unmanned."
Like the one I saw the other day... "Get Thee Behind Me Satan"...
problem is - the guy was doing like 90 or 95MPH! I thought that if Satan WAS behind him - He was RUNNING to keep up (maybe he was trying to outrun Satan?) hehehe

Tornados, and ice storms, and "arctic air masses" where the daytime highs (withOUT windchill) are -20 degrees. This Virginian has HAD it with Midwestern weather.
Alas, I am not yet in a position where I can move . . . am earnestly hoping to be able to do so within the next year or two!

I always have to chuckle - folks in hawaii or the phillipines... they build their homes at the BASE of an active volcano, and then whine because they have LAVA in the LIVING ROOM!
I've spent a few 'turns' living in L.A. ... usually around the time the ground starts heaving, I ask myself "what the HELL am I doing HERE (it's not JUST the quakes that makes me ask this, but...) and it's time to skedaddle!

were now kind of the attitude like seattle ...stay out ..i am sure new yorkers dont want calis either Earthquakes dont bother me much ,except loma prieta ,that was bad and sad but compared to these tornadoes they were nothing .I am so sorry for those people .
I remember the signs in Montana when I was a kid.."Californians leave your money and go home!" Guess they were buying up all the land cheap and driving up the prices for the locals. Of course as a kid I thought they were funny....well actually I kinda still do.
