Hi. I am celebrating one year of being nearly smoke free. I can't say I haven't had a cigarette in that time, but I have had less than five packs in a year. I used to smoke more than that in four days.

Anyway, I was thinking of celebrating by treating myself to something. I have been looking at mech mods and provaris mainly and have come to the conclusion that I am just not enough of a tinkerer to get into mechanical mods.

What do you guys think of the provari? Are they worth the money? For a year, I have heard nothing but how great they are, but they ARE just a vv device. I have almost convinced myself to get one along with a rba but wondered what the rest of you though. I am sure many of you have one.

Let me know what you think.

Doug

I purchased one last night actually. In my opinion, it's an investment rather than a "waste of $200+". The Provari will last you 3+ years compared to say an SVD or a Vamo V5 that could potentially last you 2 months (less in some cases). Now, if your Provari messes up within a year, say it just completely gets trashed, Provape will fix and return your Provari free of charge. You will not receive the same from ordering the Innokin iTaste SVD, or the Vamo V5.

Not only that, but even after your year warranty is over there are countless reports of Provape repairing Provari's for free, and if not free, their pricing is great. Most repairs are about $15 and the biggest one being a complete processor chip replacement being $65 (worst case scenario). So, ask yourself if quality is worth the money or not. Do you deserve a Chinese made potential piece of trash, or an American made Provari that WILL perform and meet your expectations. I think you deserve the latter after being smoke free for so long.

Just my $0.02.

I'm biased, I'd say go for it! It is worth it. VV gives me the ability to adjust my juice to taste, as does VW, so how I get to that point isn't a big deal to me.

BUT - what are YOU looking for? Check out Baditude's blog 'Why Provari' to help you decide. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/5569-13-why-provari.html

If you have more questions, feel free to ask. The people here are very helpful.

Congrats on 1 yr of vaping!

Congratulations on your 1-year milestone!

I got my first ProVari to celebrate being smoke free for 6 months. I'd never been off cigarettes that long since I was a teenager. I wanted a present. I wanted a BIG present, as a reward and as a constant reminder of how far I had come. Hovering the cursor over the buy button I questioned my sanity, but finally just said screw it and clicked the button.

My mini blem is over a year old and I have never once regretted the purchase. Not even for a single second. She hasn't had any drops on cement or such, but I do knock her over daily onto a hardwood floor. She doesn't have a ding or a scratch. The first week I had her, she fell between the couch cushions and my 70lbs dog slept on her overnight. When I pulled her out, the carto on top was bent at almost a 90 degree angle, but her 510 connection was fine. Her performance has been everything I was told it would be.

There is one downside though...did you notice that I wrote first ProVari? You will want another one almost immediately. :)

If you're asking that question in this forum then you're just asking to be talked into buying one. :) Waiting for mine to arrive still so I can't give my advice based on experience but based on all of the positive reviews here and I'm sure you'll get many more in just this thread, I would say go for it!

I don't own a Provari yet but have been looking at e'm hard seeing as my birthday is next month. There is nothing wrong with being talked into something that is good for you in many, many ways. Now i just need someone to convince my wife that they are not THAT expensive. LOL. Do you think the "It costs less than i was spending on the stinkies in one month" argument will work on the non vaping variety of the female species? LOL

That argument worked on my non-smoking husband - plus he was happy that he didn't have to go looking for a gift for me! Go for it!

Get one. Don't think about it, just do it. I have a closet full of VV/VW devices. They're all "good" but they don't feel or perform like the Provari. It's a great device. Like PBusardo said, when you hold it in your hand you'll "get it". Don't get me wrong. I've got a DNA20 device and a ZNA DNA30. Different devices for subohming and the like. But the Provari is great for the all day vape. Taking out in the field. Yeah, just get one. Quality. Nuff Said.

Are there any differences other than size between the Provari and the mini? ie. battery life, quality, etc.
I might get one in the future once I wear out my MVP 2. (When it arrives that is)

Also, I read someone say in this thread that the Provari will last ~3 years. I also remember reading somewhere that it could last forever. So which is it? Hah

Thanks!

The only differences between the full-size and the mini are the design of the body pattern (crop circles vs. tear drops) and the size of the tube. All of the internal components are the same, that's why there's no price difference. The size of the tube determines the size of the battery to be used and that is what affects battery life.

Configurations:
Full-size
Standard cap - 18490 battery
Optional extension cap - 18650 battery
Mini
Standard cap - 18360 battery
Optional extension cap - 18490 battery
Additional extension rings (3rd party vendor) - 18650 battery

You can make a mini bigger, but you can't make a full-size smaller.

Nothing will last forever, but I'm quite sure my ProVari will last more than 3 years. It's over a year old now and barely feels broken in.
