I've been capping each carto, using the condom it came with, when I have it attached to a batt. I do this to keep the carto clean when I throw the full assembly in my backpack for daily travel. When I do this, though, I've noticed that the capping process pushes some vapor out of the threaded connection to the batt, which made me wonder...

Do you cap? Is there any chance that such capping after each use causes heat build-up in the carto, shortening its life or changing the flavor?

I don't cap because I personally thought it'd be too much of a hassle with such a snug fit.

But... If you decide to cap, I'd suggest putting condom on cart BEFORE screwing it onto the battery. The little bit of air going backwards through it while it's on the battery would trigger the switch on an auto and you'll have it vaping itself for a second or two backwards, which might eventually cause a clogged battery over time.

I keep my filled carts capped and that's pretty much it. I have a various assortment of carts just laying on my desk that I'm trying out...I should probably cap 'em but oh well hehe. I do, however, put the little plug in the battery end of carts while they're in my case and I'm out and about. I know its not as good as a condom, but I probably just got in the habit of doing that since condoms don't fit in the older cases like I have.

I never cap whats laying open on my desk unless I happen to look down and notice some that have been there for a couple days. Then ill cap them and they go into an old ashtray I used to use when I smoked to be used when i need a change of flavor. I don't cap carts on batteries. After seeing the clip on the battery that was coming on on it's own I now remove all carts from batteries when not in use. I do cap all carts when they are empty. I never leave them open. I had some go bad from being left open for a couple weeks during a move. The batting seemed to dry up and wouldn't wash out.

i only keep my carts capped when not in used (capped on both ends). but i'm one that disassembles the batt from my cart when i'm not using it, and put it in the carry case, lol. i'm paranoid and .... that way. i know some use the lanyard and don't cap the mouthpiece end, and seems to be okay. but if i was just putting it in a bag or pocket, i can see why you would. hmmmmm.
