much less expensive version of the same phoenix clone

or

get an aga or aga-t from this page if you want to do mesh

both work great and are on the cheap to start....

p.s. i haven't done mesh wicks yet but if you want to be on the cheap get your kanthal from ebay for like $9-10 for 100ft instead of buying it from the vendors that charge like $1 per foot and you can get cotton yarn from walmart for like $2 or bamboo yarn from a michaels for like $6. just for the love of god don't pay the vendors $20 to make like 5 wicks when you could do 100's of them for the same price lol

Sorry but let me get this straight. You buy this rba and all that needs to be replaced on it are the wicks?
How long will the product work for?

Just wondering because it is $20 for one

Yeah, pretty much that's what you do. You can buy them pre wrapped or wrap your own. If you use the one I linked to don't undo the screws completely, just wrap the end of the wire around the screw and then tighten it. You'll get a set of pre wrapped wicks when you buy it, then you can use those as a guide on how to wrap your own. You can buy the wire and wick at Liberty-Flights.

Mine came with a bundle of pre wrapped wicks and a magnetic tipped screw driver. So it was ready to go out of the box.

I think the way of the future is the variable wattage PV and as far as I know the Provari does not have that feature. My ZMAX V2 and VAMO do and they are 50-75% less in price and have been excellent vapor producers.

For some.

I myself have 0 interest.

Plus I think the last Provari update was $15. That is a steal.

just have to know where to look. like all things vaping.... not every vendor is out to fleece the users RTD vapors sells 50-100 foot spools under 15 bucks.

OKCvapes has 12inx12in mesh for like 10 bucks a square. and 3 foot rolls of wire for $1.50

If you havent done wire mesh yet you may not understand just how long 3-5 feet of wire is going to last you and with wire mesh you use a 25 mm by 35 mm piece or less per wick and lasts over a month usually.

yea I agree... i have a couple genesis atty's and a dripper and usually stay right around 2.0 ohms on my coils and dont really need to vary much so while it has its function for some users the VW feature is lost on me as well.

Would it be possible to increase the ohm say to about 2.4 on a genesis atty? Would that mean more wraps around the mesh?

Honestly, everyone else is right. It's just a battery when it comes down to it. As long as the battery puts out consistent, stable voltage then the only bearing the mod has on the vape is AIRFLOW. A lot of people tend to overlook this when looking for mods. You also have to be wary of a lot of the other cheap mods out on the market though and do your research, a lot of them misrepresent their capabilities. I've seen reviews of a few that were bad enough where you'd set them to 5v and they'd actually be putting out 3.7v.

I've used a few provari's, and my official conclusion is that I don't lust over them anymore. At all, really. When it comes to the vape, my buzzpro can do everything a provari can and that damn menu system drives me up the wall. I really like the simplicity and ease of adjustment when it comes to the dial. Being able to see your resistance and battery voltage is cool, but it REALLY isn't something you couldn't live without. The provari is also HEAVY - Having one in your pocket it'll attempt to pull your pants to your ankles every time.

I'm not saying the provari isn't great, but I don't feel it's worth the price.

I have several VV , VW mods. Vamo ,Smoktech ZMAX, V-TUBE and they all pretty much vape the same on the same settings using the same RBA.I agree with everybody else it pretty much comes down to the tank, carto, atty used.If I had it to do over on the VV mods would probably have bought the sigelei Zmax Stainless Steel $79.99, do to the more user friendly display,PBusardo did a review on youtube and I was pretty impressed with the way it functions.I was rebuilding the vivi novas with stainless steel but got tired of the it flooding and have since moved to the Smoktech R tanks also known as Hyper SRT 2 and have been very happy with it after drilling wick holes to 3/32 and using SS 400 mesh,it is by far my best vaping experience I have had to date

yes, more wraps will give higher ohms or you can use higher gauge wire.the thinner the wire the higher the resistance but also the thinner the wire the more of a chance it will fail(break under load)

just remember, if you get any geni atty - when you start out its problematic sometimes till you get the hang of it. some people get frustrated and give up. once you get it to work a few times its easy to do over and over, I got lucky my first time it worked perfect and I thought whats with all this fuss everyone whines about? then the second time beginners luck wore off and took most of a day. now it usually takes about 15 minutes to set it up and works fine.

BTW the provari mini looks like a beautiful device doesn't it?

The Provari mini IS a beautiful device! I have one in hand right now, I love it for what it is, but it doesn't make my juice taste any better! To me it came down to a Buzzpro or a Provari, I wanted rock solid durability, like drive over it with a truck or drop it from the second floor onto concrete durability! Because I'm an idiot! I went with the Provari simply because of the stigma with me and using stacked batteries. either one would have worked for me, but I lucked into some money and REALLY wanted the Provari as it seemed more stout and the mini was smaller.
But, as I said, it hasn't made my juice taste better or turned me into a vaping God!

I'm going to comment on this without reading anything of what anyone else has said. Used to, to would have said, yes... get the provari. And I do still say that BUT.. now a days, you don't have to have one to get a good vape. There are lots out there that can give the same vape at a lot less money. The Lavatube 2, the vamo are two that will give you everything you need for less. I am a provari fan, I might could be classified as a "fangirl" lol. I have 2 and don't regret buying them. I have a $30 vv madvapes boxmod and carry it to work every day.. I can get the same vape with it at 5v as I do my provari at 5v and it's a lot easier to turn off. BUT, being able to see my carto ohms and then easily adjusting my voltage is important to me and the vv madvapes box pretty much has the same resistance carto and the same voltage setting at all times. It's hard to adjust the voltage because a tiny turn of the wheel can shoot the voltage up higher (or down lower) than what I want, so I have to use a voltmeter to set it where I want it.

The customer service I get from Provape gives me peace of mind and for that reason.. the higher price tag is worth it to ME.

But no, you don't have to buy the provari to get a great vape.

I agree with the above. The provari is a good batt probably newer will come out eventually but in this day and age we live in I would much prefer to have a pv in hand that I could buy batteries for and still get by if sh+t hits the fan in the upcoming FDA hearings. Just think how much it could be worth in the long run. I also agree you don't need a provari for a great vape but I'm a prepper like to think past tomorrow.

thing i like about the provari is when i am walking around with it ? it is heavy enough to remind me it is there ..i know that sounds weird but i never been one of those foo-foo fluffy types ,,i want something that can take a beating and survive it ,,the provari has already proven that to me many a times ,,one such event caused me to have to send it back o provape for repairs.and it is well beyond the oneyear warranty ..they fixed it for nothing because i proved it wasn't quite bullet proof, but close
