Scratchy throat and almost burnt lip's and throat?
I was using the same coil's and setup's as other people But vaping at high watt's as they were was really uncomfortable.
I knew something was wrong and wouldn't rest till I found the answer, it was so bad that I was using mesh inside the drip tip to calm the harshness and burning feeling that I was getting, even bought wide bore DT's and opened up the air intake but I still had the issue and thought maybe it was just me and my messed up throat.
I eventually took a cotton ball and decided to wash it again, so I placed the cotton ball in a cup of boiling water from the kettle and microwaved it till the water started bubbling again, I made sure I poured the water out from off the top as most of the crap floats to the surface and it is this that causes the problem, then once it cooled I squeezed out all the water and dried it. I think I might of even put it back in the microwave a couple of time just on a dish to steam the dampness out and then let it air dry overnight.
When I tried the cotton again I couldn't believe the difference, all the issues were gone!

Also worth a mention>> having to much flavour in juice can also give a similar harsh throat, I've only noticed this with fruit's myself.

And yes some may well say you should have prepared it properly in the first place! well!.. I thought I did :)

I posted this thread as I see a lot of people saying they have to much TH.. Also try adjusting your coil first before trying this as it's much easier, you don't need to try your whole batch of cotton just one ball till you figure it out.

The ideal thing to do when preparing cotton is to use distilled water, that is what I used originally but the above method was enough to further cure the cotton
