To Much???

Hey I am new to the DIY and mixing my own juices. I find myself wanting to mix a lot of different things to find what we like. Now I am mixing small batches to start with to see what we like and be less wasteful. But I was wondering how many different bottles/flavors other DIY'ers have at any given time? I have a lot right now and wonder if I am going overboard with mixing. LOL

When I started I had 20 or 30 test samples. There is no known cure for impulsive mixing:)

I often though of starting a self help group here "Hi my name is dan and I'm a compulsive mixer" :)

Hello Dan my name is Kellie and I am also a compulsive mixer. I currently have about 20 juices I have mixed up just to try LOL:lol:

I didnt go that route. I buy according to recipes I know to be good. If you have the money to experiment, more power to you, but I am sickened by the thought of how much I have wasted just not getting recipes right. Mixing is much more difficult than one thinks. Especially if they hold high standards. YOLO

I do waste some but not as much as I thought I would because I mix in small batches to see if I am going to like the flavor. And If I do like it I will mix a bigger batch. My beginner batches are only 3mL each so not to bad. But I still waste some because when I taste it and it is bad. I dump it and start over. I don't try to figure out where it went wrong and fix it.

I still have 6 left and I can't bring myself to try them because I made them so long ago that I forgot what I was trying to mix in the first place. Guess it must be my fear of the unknown holding me back:)

Hi! My name is Mike, and I am also a compulsive mixer...

Danny, you have just put forth another great idea... You rock!!

This just may take hold.....

Lets all hold hands and repeat after me

Give me grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be mixed,
Courage to change the things
which should be mixed,
and the Wisdom to distinguish
one mix from the other.

Do one mix at a time,
Enjoying one mix at a time,
Accepting failure as a pathway to mixing success,

Trusting that I will make all things good and tasty,
So that I may be reasonably happy with my mix,
And supremely happy with my ADV.

I'm the same way,i have 30+ 3-5ml samples, most of which i have tried at least once, but i think there are a few that i never have tried yet haha.My problem is,i usually order some new flavors every week, usually 3 or 4 at a time, but sometimes when i see a good sale going on,last week for example,i ended up getting 10,2 i have already had so they were just replacements, but the other 8 were one of those"I have no idea if that will be good or not,but it's on sale cheap so i gotta get it and try" haha. The only problem with that theory,is every week,i still have 1 or 2 from previous weeks that i mixed and either forgot to try,or felt they needed more time, and then forgot to go back to them.I've been trying to remember to try at leat 2 or 3 a day now to get caught up,but i have found a few that really work, and the others get pushed off until "Tommorow" haha.

Oh yeah,almost forgot,I'm Bill,and yes i am most definitely a compulsive mixer,haha.

At 3ml, any flavoring that needs 1% or less is going to be practically impossible to dose right. I mean, 1% of a 3ml solution is 0.03ml, still tough to measure with 1cc syringe. How have you managed?

Thats why I do 10 ml samples.

Thank you for sharing:)

Part of the fun is trying to save your failed mixes by adding another flavor to change it's flavor profile, diluting with more base if to strong or adding more flavor if to weak, so don't flush unless it makes you gag.

Thank you for sharing:)

Hi my name is Ronnie, and I am a compulsive mixer.

At any given time I have around 20 different 15ml bottles all of different flavors. I usually drip throughout the day and change flavors just about every time and I enjoy them all. Maybe I got lucky with all of the batches I have made but there are only two that I cannot stand to vape: Pumpkin Spice and Granny Smith Green Apple. Those two are just utter crap. Pumpkin spice tastes like a really bad Holiday spice air freshener spray and the Granny Smith tastes like paint according to my girlfriend.

I bought a pumpkin spice coffee creamer around the holidays last year that I fell in love with. I wish I could duplicate that in a vape.

I use 1mL insulin syringes. They measure up in .01 increments. Also I am a nurse and measure doses like that on a daily basis so it is nothing new to me lol.
