Just to let the OP know that the AGA T2 works great on a Provari as well as a mech mod. I got my first AGA T2 with full intentions of using it on my Silver Bullet. It worked fine on the SB, but I also liked it even more on the Provari.

I prefer a cooler vape, and I have never cared for low resistance vaping. I tried the sub 1 ohm coils on the AGA, but it wasn't for me. I make 2.0 ohm coils with 30 gauge wire. Works on both the Silver Bullet and the Provari. And with the Provari, I can still adjust the voltage to the particular flavor I happen to have in the pyrex tank.

The Provari is also very useful in setting up an RBA. Not only can you use the Provari's built-in atty meter to determine the resistance of your coil, you can also use it to pulse fire the coil to ready it for vaping.

The best video that I learned from, which can apply to any Genesis-style RBA tank, is the tutorial that Zen did with the Z Atty Pro for Provape: Z-ATTY-PRO Rebuildable Atomizers For ProVari - YouTube

BAAHHAHAHAHAHA, thanks, I couldn't find the thread.

For what it's worth the only thing that killed your fun was your own sense of honesty :D
If you had said that wasn't it I'd still be on the edge of my seat here!! :p

Less mesh than a normal wick you say? Hmm.. might have to give this a shot sooner than later..

My wick keeps up with my 1ohm coil but I hate having to do the tilt :(
It can't keep up with a .8 very well at all though, even tilting.

Thanks for sharing. Seriously glad to hear it works well, yours is one opinion I trust for sure. You were the first to respond to my RBA expectations thread and man.. how right you were!!

Hahaha yeah i like to keep things i do BS free. Only way to be taken seriously.

Before the mesh tubes i actually experimented with something else and it worked very well, better than the old ones but requires tilting. Im thinking of a way to combine these 2 things to get the most convenient wicking system. Now to finish the 7,258,926 other things i have to do and i ll get right on it.

reading reading reading and contemplating my next upgrade. Im still a noob to vaping, but after reading of all the pros, and very few cons of RBA's im itching to click the checkout button.

Question though, how do you guys rate the portability of these RBA's. Specifically the RBA Tank systems. Can I just throw it in my pocket and forget about it until I feel like using it? Would I have to worry about it breaking/leaking under normal circumstances (pocketed PV+RBA while driving/sitting/walking)?

I like the ease of just putting my eGo+Clearo in my pocket and being out and about with it. How would you compare the RBA?

Edit: My apologies to the OP for the thread jack.

It may leak. Mine doesnt under normal circumstances, but by design it is pretty much inevitable that it will leak eventually especially if you put it past horizontal. For a out and about mod i use a Protank i rebuilt with mesh and ribbon, performs just as well as my Gennies, looks slick and doesnt leak.

Some people say all RBA's leak. Mine does not. I carry it in my pocket and worry about it leaking as much as I worried about my clearos leaking, which is to say not a lot. But in all fairness I will admit that when it's in my pocket it's usually upright. I do lay it down on my desk at work. And I do take it everywhere I go. It's my primary vape, I have no equipment that I've designated for "at home only" use.

I wouldn't recommend dropping one in a purse and forgetting about it, or holding it upside down for an extended period of time, eventually it'll probably let a few drops go.

Obviously you don't want to drop or abuse any of your pv equipment. The average rba is probably more durable than the average clearo tank, but they are breakable and the greater concern for me would be damaging the connector on my pv if I dropped it with a tough rba on top.

Kanj.nguyen Would you say an RBA's chances of leaking are similar to, if not less than, a standard DCT? Ive been using those for a while now and have had no issues, even though they can slip right off with minimal force.

If you hold a carto tank and an rba upside down the carto is less likely to drip on you.

If a carto tank slips off its carto it's gonna dump the contents on whatever is below it, an RBA is not going to do this.

A carto can flood and drip down into the connection and obstruct airflow, an RBA is not going to do this as it draws air from a hole in the cap and does not draw any air from below, and cannot flood like a carto.

I've used the term RBA pretty loosely in this post, I'm referring specifically to genesis style RBA's

I just slip mine into my pocket all the time. If I'm driving I tend to take it out so it's more readily available but on a few short trips that's just where it stayed... usually in a front pants pocket. No leaks yet and I vape with the "fill screw" out too (it's in my spare parts bag).

In a similar discussion one member said they had problems with leaks which I found disconcerting... until I re-read it again and noticed this time that the complaint included something about "a whole tank of juice spilling into my back pants pocket". OK, I don't recommend sitting on a device with an RBA screwed on to it but if you are careful it should be at least as "pocket-able" as a less sturdy plastic tank.

I've had clearo tanks bend right over, unseating from the press in fit at the bottom. Don't remember the exact moment it happened because I don't think I did anything extraordinary. Cracked a plastic vivi nova mini tank in my pocket once as well. Switched to aluminum tanks. I can't speak for all RBAs but the AGA-T2 is *extremely* sturdy. I've had mine even hit the parking lot a time or two. The pyrex tank is tougher than it looks and the stainless steel might get a few nicks and scratches but I don't think you need to worry about it breaking. The 510 connector is probably the weakest spot on an AGA and even that is at least as strong as the same part on most other attys.

You mean a DID clone?

Im not gonna blow up about high-end vs. low-end again... But my advice is, to start out trying RBAs and see if they are for you, get something cheap. They perform just as well, since obviously everything depends on the quality of your build.

I found both of the ones I mentioned for $18 shipped. Cheap enough? :) Ill just need to pick up the mesh/wire (which im still researching to find the right ones)

Oktyabr - With regard to the back pocket issue.....I learned my lesson with that a long time ago with sunglasses/cell phone. Never again.
I have not had any issues with leaking clearos/cartos/tanks since starting to vape. My PV goes in my pocket upright, 99% of the time. In the car I tend to do the same, ill put it in my cupholder or lay it horizontal near my shifter.

Those are clones. Genuine DIDs and Phoenixes are probably in the $100 range.

Dont let that discourage you, i helped a guy on here with a $125 Phoenix and noooooo idea what he was doing, i spent 3 days helping him and he gave up at the end, while my $8.5 DID clone was vaping like a champ. Lol.

Alright, gave in, grabbed an Aga-T (glass tank) with a few different thicknesses of wire and a few different types of mesh.... now its the waiting game. On average, how much time do you guys usually get out of a wick/coil when probably set up on your genesis style RBA? I assume the wick lasts hella long but do coils burn out more frequently than say, on a different type of device?

Self sufficiency I love those words.
