To Vamo or to not Vamo

Ok, I need some advice. I am fairly new to vaping and I love it, I have already started DIY, to save money of course, and all is going well.
My question is this: I am now going through a 1100 AND a 1300mah Vision battery in a day. This is kind of a pain and I want a bigger battery.
I have been looking at a Vamo v7 that I can get really cheap. 18 bucks, just for the bigger battery. But I am wondering if this is overkill.
I am certainly not into clouds, just a nice smooth vape. I have also seen an ego style vv battery that is 4500mah....yes, I said 4500man for 13 bucks.
Another question: If most people vape at 6-8 watts, why does anyone want 30-40-50+ watts. This makes no sense to me. It seems to me that would just
burn the juice.
So, what is your advice? I am all ears.
I am eagerly waiting for replies to this as I am really in the dark.
Thanks for your help.

Everyone has a preference in size, wattage, round vs square. My wife personally used only a vamo for the past two years till she got her stick on the 1st. Purely on a cost basis I would recommend the istick for its performance and size. With the vamo you will need additional batteries ($10+ each and you will want more then 1). You will also need a external charge which will be another 10+ depending on style. Which would put you at a cost higher then the istick which has a internal pass-through capable battery and has more capabilities at a better bargain. I personally cant use the istick because it won't allow coils below 1ohm and for me that is deal breaker. With a standard tank it does work better then even the mvp2 imho.

A Vamo is a decent mod. Not the greatest, but certainly nowhere near the worst either. If you're using a clearomizer setup, a Vamo will do you just fine. Even on some rebuildable tanks that don't need too much power, like a Kayfun, the Vamo will do the job nicely.

High wattage vaping is mainly for folks who build their own coils and use rebuildable atomizers. However, some new clearomizers like the Atlantis need more power too. I personally rarely vape below 60 watts anymore. If you've educated yourself and mastered coil building and wicking, you can run pretty much any wattage you desire depending on the device you're using without burning the wicks/juice or getting dry hits. It's all a matter of preference.

So im rather new as well, but i think the higher wattages are really only used on subohm builds which have significantly less resistanc.

You are semi correct, I typically run a mech with a dripper somewhere around .6-.8ohm. The reason why is with a mechanical and freshly charged battery will be outputting 4.2v the first few drags. Then as the battery charge drains, so does your power output. Having a lower resistance will allow you to better make use of the lower power bands.

Now with a higher wattage mod you are able to sustain the same wattage all the way across the battery life however it opens up other avenue's for vapors. I always sacrificed some flavor to get the hit i wanted. Currently im running a dna at 30 watts which is inline with a .6 on a mech. However my build is at 1.6ohm giving more surface area. which does create more vapor but also plenty of flavor and its hitting at 6.7volts.

The SVD has button problems, my Vamo5 (after 4 months) has 'start up' problems. I have to keep messing with the center contact in the top part. My Itaste 134 still works great. And my new Smok Rocket kicks ..... No more digitals for me. Dial in VV/VM are the way to go if you want the electronics. But of course my most used are still anyone of my 15 Mech Mods with RDA's and RTA's.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have decided to go with the Vamo 7. Its cheap and will give me more battery life like I want, and I hear that they have addressed the problems of earlier models(bad threads and such). Plus it will give me room to grow. Who knows, Mechs may be in my future, but for now, this will do just fine.
Looking forward to what comes next.
Thanks again.
