well ive managed to find a uk stockist that supplies provari liberty flights ? are they any good also they have a sigelei ZMAX? a lot of the posts after the initial few posts lost me ( "Two AGA-T2s, an Igo-L, a smok rda, and a handful of various Phoenix clones." ) so ill go away do some research then come back when i sound like i know what im talking about

LOL! Sorry! It's easy to assume that when a poster says something like "just gonna progress to the top end" as you did in your original post that you have already done a lot research ;) But hey, we were all where you are now once upon a time.

A Provari is a provari and they certainly have their fans. I've never owned one but if very fine craftsmanship and an extended warranty was worth paying 5x as much (to ME) as a similar cheaper device I probably would have bought one right off the bat and that would have been that. The Zmax is a good device, so I'm told, and it has similar functions. The Vamo is the king of the bargains right now, offering more than either of those two with a much lower price. But ultimately, as someone far wiser than me once said on these forums, "it's a tube with a battery in it... not a magical unicorn." ;)

It just depends on the mood. All of my stuff is China Junk but I make do. Slightly modified Natural, when I need something real small or just want to use something below what the VV's mods can handle.

So I recommend both, not every mod will fit every situation or need. I have been traveling for the past 2 days, my Segeli Zmax Tele went with me. Around the house tinkering I love the Vamo. And when I am dripping and can get it from the GF, the Natural with my SS wick RDA just puts me to bed.

Especially for new vapers, vv / vw is essential. Mizers come in different ohms, and you will want to be able to tweak the voltage accordingly to your taste.

The reason why ppl like unregulated mods, is that those are usually "stronger", as th give you the power of the battery without electronics. But that means that you have to control the ohms instead to get the vapour you want. This can be done either by ordering mizers wi the wanted ohms, or using a rba (rebuildable), and making your own coils. If you cant control the voltage and order a mizer with 2,5+ ohms, it's not giving you much joy.

Either way, you control the power (watt), by regulating volts and/or ohms, and get the amount of vapour you prefer.

So, for "beginners" get a cheap-ish vv/vw, and decide later on if you like vv, or if you want to control the ohms instead.

Hi people,

Excellent, informative forum you have going here keep up the good work!!

Now me being one of those lazy people that cant be bothered looking through reams of threads i thought i would be one of them "annoying noobs" and start a thread anyway..

So after 2 months of vaping and spending a stupid amount on different units i've decided that im just gonna progress to the top end to save myself money in the long run ..

So far we have had disposables, elites, skycigs, Totally Wicked IPCC, Tornado Tank , NovaTank now onto 1000mah Pass through with 6ml nova tank at 1.8 ohm (as you can see its progressively getting better) but now im contemplating a VV. Ive been looking at Provari, E-Vic, Vari Volt or Vape Pro ( bit of a totally wicked fan boy)...I dont want to get one then realise ive missed out by a few quid on that elusive perfect vape....

Any info or advice would be much appreciated...Oh and what in the .......... is an odyssey tank kit  5year Warranty ????

standard issue reply follows.
first a quick note.
it ain't rocket science, so don't make it over complicated..

best thing i can say to anyone that wants to vape.
go for the best you can afford now.
you'll spend alot of money and wind up wishing,
you had done it in the first place.

buy the best and pass up the rest.
spend once now, or twice later.
i like provari, they're made in the usa, they make me happy.
i don't live in china, so i'd rather not support them.
buy what makes you happy, and you will be.
it really doesn't matter what you use, how much you spend.
the point is, you're not smoking.
life is short, and you can't take it with you....
play with it 'till you're bored, then get a new one.

forgot to add this.
watch youtube.
search pbusardo & igetcha69.
best 2 reviewers.

good luck

If you build low ohm coils when you rebuild maybe you should try the twist before dropping the dough for a Provari. I think it's the best thing since sliced bread but I wasn't using super LR coils on mechs before I got mine. I see posts from lots of members who only use mechs and it's because of the amp limits on VV/VW PVs. I would hate to see you spend your money on a very nice paper weight.

VW offers an interesting advantage over VV. With variable power you can change out an atomizing device of one resistance with another of a different resistance. The VW rig will automatically adjust voltage to deliver the same power with the new device. With VV only the user must adjust voltage manually to match the new device.

Yep, there are trade-offs to any system you choose. With a mechanical mod you have no voltage regulation at all but you can use a very low resistance coil below one ohm. With my VV/VW rig I get perfect voltage and power regulation but can't use a coil of less than 1.2 ohms.

I just made the jump to VV after over half a year of vaping. I love the fact that mine has VW, which I use more. Personally though, I have been looking more at a mechanical since I build my attys low and want to try multiple coils. I say, have one around because it is nice to experiment with, but take a look at what you want out of your vaping expeeience, then make the call.

Agree with the twist or spinners. Same thing just differnet company that makes em. If you want to go into the VW type I can highly recomend the Tesla. I've had two Vamos and just not a big fan of things that are pressed fitted together. First one lasted 3 months and then the circut board went out in it. If you want something with a long warranty, then Provari or something from Super T Manufactors. Super T offers a lifetime, transferable warrant. Put a kick in it and you got a VW mod. I use em on my Silver bullet and also the Legacy mechanical mods I have.

I started the way you did. Blu cig, v2 cigs, and even the mall ecig. Then I discover the provari........best experience ever. Fine tune you're vape production, flavor and warmth. It was def the best investment I've delved into. I'm now just getting into the the genesis atties and soon I plan to get a mechanical mod. But I will always have a soft spor for the provari for the simple fact that that device is what hit the nail in the coffin when it came to quitting analogs.

OK so in conclusion (after my limited amount of research)

I need to get myself some sort of VV/VW device so i can adjust the voltage/wattage that is being sent to the coil...Thus producing a different vape either a higher vapour amount or different flavour..They all look pretty similar tbh and they all look as though they will do the job..I now need to look into rebuildable atomizers to adjust ohm's ( i have done a small amount of experimenting with my Nova Tank changing from 1.8 up to 2.8 ohm using the 3 coils that come with the set).

I suppose its all a learning curve :p i will pop off today and collect one from the local store and report back later..Worst case scenario i have another spare think im gonna start budget end £70-100 then work my way up to provari...I have a very nice friend who can acquire one at trade :toast:..

Thanks for all your input guys very informative...Just a note for future...If we are in the new members section treat us like dummies and it saves us the embarrassment of actually stating that "we know nothing"

I too worked my way up from the cig look a like 510 to the ego to the twist ( i liked the twist at 1st but i didnt like the fact that it would change setting being in my pocket poor design imo it should have clicked into each setting instead of spinning smooth & freely...& its not very durable at all it broke on me only after a month or so) & 1 of those ego 3click VV (still have that & it works pretty good but its another 1 thats not so durable & i wanted more options than just the 3.2 3.6 & 4.2 settings) then i got my 1st true VV Itaste v2 which i like alot & is much more durable that the twist & has a nice digital display) & just last week i bought a vamo v2 (bought from vaporbreak for under $30 with 900mah batt & cheapo but seemingly so far decent charger for $3.50 each...free shipping & considerign it came from china shipping was pretty fast...think it got here to chicago in 10 days) & i just love it..i tend to vape with the variable wattage & its just great...the only thing about the vamo is it is a fairly big mod & is a lil heavier than what i have been accustomed to especially with the 18650 battery in it or stacking the 18350s (which i dont do) with just 1 18350 its just right as far as size goes just wish they wuld make a 18350 battery with more juice in it than 900mah...lol...only thing i have to say from my short experience with the vamo is dont buy protected li-ons...lol...i bought a 3200mah protected 1 on ebay cheap & the 900mah that i got last longer...lol
