Ok so a friend of mine who started vaping when I did two years ago finally broke all the eGo's he bought(and I gave him when I progressed beyond them). So while he was up and gave him a ipv mini 2 70w and an Aspire Atlantis with a fresh 0.5 coil. His mixture is from a local shop that says its 50/50, but it was pretty liquidy when I showed him how to fill it, my thoughts are more like 80pg/20vg. He said said he has adjusted the and found a comfortable wattage, and he feels like he is getting the nicotine he wants, but he feels like he is getting too much "liquid" in his lungs. Lets keep in mind he is a bit of a hypochondriac and this could be in his head. He lived a few hours away so I was hoping maybe it wasn't in his head and that someone has this issue and could help?

If its an Atlantis issue, I could give him an Artic tank or kanger subtank.

I'm thinking that your friend isn't accustomed to the vapor volume, moving from an Ego to subohm, and has dialed down the wattage to a comfortable level, leaving some unvaporized liquid on the coil to inhale. One other possibility is that he is using direct lung inhales for the first time, and it may not suit him. The liquid may be the culprit as well, as it may be too much VG for his liking, just diluted with water a bit to have a thinner viscosity. Good luck sorting this out, and maybe an Ego bilster pack would help in the meantime. Maybe too much too soon.

Changing the battery device should not cause problems, unless like others mentioned he has it set too hot.

If he was doing well with the set up before, why not just put the atty he was using on the ego on the IPV mini?

Just set the watts to about 8 and let him get used to that.

You mentioned that the liquid was supposedly 50/50? Maybe the hot PG and mass volume of vapor is irritating his mucous membranes. That happens to me when I use too much PG or build my coil resistance too low.

I hope he gets it sorted out.

Try to answer some of those questions. I know he is mouth to lunging. I know he is still smoking occasionally as well as vaping, 1-3 cigarettes per day. What he was using were cheap CE4's from a place called derall ecigs, and they have all broken as the tanks are all plastic junk. Even if he had one, I don't have an adapter to make it work on IPV mini. But several good ideas at least to try to help him....I think I still have some of my first foray into better stuff, like a Kanger pro tank 2 and Aspire Nautilus sitting in a box somewhere, maybe those are better starters. I just remember having a hard time keeping them from leaking.

WHat is most likely happening, is that his poor body is trying its best to heal. Inside your bronchial passes are little finger like tissue that sort of filters out what is not supposed to get into the lungs. When you smoke it burns/ kills them off.

When you stop smoking, its amazing how fast they start to grow back. The less smoking is causing his body to heal partially, and those little finger like cells are starting to do their job and push out the unwanted bad stuff.

Thats why so many smokers feel worse when they quit, its all that junk in the lungs being pushed back out.

Give him your Nauti mini with a 1.8 coil and he will be a happy camper. I have not heard of many leaking issues with a Nauti. He is a MTL vapor and he is currently trying to use a sub ohm set up to do that. I MTL and the set up you gave him would be a poor choice form me. Dial it down and he should be fine. An Ego/510 adapter is about $2.

I think we're discussing why the liquid was thin, not how to thin it.

Central GA
I live in central Ga and the pollen is ridiculous this year. It's almost over, but for weeks my pickup was coated with yellow pine pollen each morning, so bad that I had to wash it off with a hose before driving each morning.

Allergies are a possibility this time of year. I lung hit intermittently, but most of the time I'm a MTL vapor and I tend to inhale shallowly and exhale through the nose instead of deep inhaling.

As someone else said, when you first start to vape after quitting smoking you cough up a lot of junk that your lungs have accumulated over the time you smoked.

There's also the possibility that he's sensitive to PG or VG. I'd suggest trying some 100% juice in bothPG and VG before a mixture just to see which affects him most. Pick the lesser allergic of the two for the higher amount in a mix. I do better with high PG and lower VG, as in 80pg/20vg or 70/30.
