I'm at work and was thinking "maybe it just looked like the flash completed"
So I flashed it non-TC then flashed it back to TC. Gotta be quick to hit that start button once you release the up and down button and the start button highlights.
When TC firmware is complete the mod is still in VW mode and can be changed by holding the fire and down button.

My top cap is getting easier. I think I just had to get used to it. As far as the cap staying on the bottom it does, but barely. I'm never gonna use that feature anyway and I like the mod so much I'm not gonna send it back. Besides I'm not sure my magnets are reversed anyway. I think it was just me ( new toy and all ) I haven't put it down other than to do my testing stuff with another tank/deck.

Hi neighbor. I'm like you, couldn't care less about the cap on the bottom thing (even though on both of my TS's the magnets will hold the caps just fine).

The way I read the instructions to change the firmware. You continue to hold down the up and down buttons even while you are also clicking Start. Let up on the up and down buttons once the process starts.

Another thing I remember is you have to hold down the up and down buttons as you are plugging it into the USB cable. If you press the up and down buttons after plugging in the USB cable, it is too late. As now it is in charging mode.

I just flashed mine again TC, here's what took place.
With the app open and the up and down buttons pressed I connected the cable, then released the two button.
In just a moment the start button highlighted and at that very moment I hit it (only have a second) and it started and finished. Remember I said when I released the buttons after connecting the cable is when the start button highlights. Hope this is of some help. I didn't have tore-boot my computer for this BTW.
Your awesome! I'll try that technique later today and let everyone know the results.

I think they need to start with black silicone not dye the clear ones.
I believe that Brian said that the bottles tested with dye in them in different colors leached an odor or something like that. That's why they went with clear, from what I remember.
It is explained in the TVC introduction video.

OOpps... I reread your post and see what you mean.

I'm not sure if I would use the feature on a regular basis or not, but it is a feature and even though we are creatures of habit I thought it would be nice to give it a go. I do know the feature will come in handy while driving. That may sound dangerous to many but I was a truck driver for 17 years and can multitask while driving.

Did you see Brian's (The Vapor Chronicles) video? He stated he wanted to have black colored bottles too, but when the color dye is added, the bottles smells of dye.

Yes, but I don't have that issue with my VV 80/90W Pulses, so obviously it can be done right. I have the black, blue, and red bottles and have used them all, but only use the black now because I no longer use the Gas Mods GR1 and its different color caps. A darker color would blend in so much better, at least on the gunmetal and black TS.

TCR wtf? Okay first of all does one even need to bother with TCR? Digiflavor Drop RDA, I am using 2x 2-28/9-38/38 3mm ID Multi strand fused clapton coils ss316L ohms out at 0.13. I can find the TCR value for SS but doesn't it change when using many wires such as in the above mentioned? And before anyone asks why I am using those particular coils, it's because I had them. I have the topside set at 490F with a TCR of 88 as per steam engine, I think, if i figured that correctly. Steam Engine won't take the values for the coils I have so I sort of guessed based on what I could put in for values. TCR= WTF and UGH and Grrrrr.... WHY WHY WHY????.... It was default at TCR of 500. Seems weak even if I crank it up to 500-520F at TCR of 88.

I have tcr @ 96 for SS316. Generally 92-105 is where SS316 is good for me.
