Made my second ever e-cig related purchase from MadVapes on Sunday (I think?), having ordered 10ml bottles of 24mg Fresh Apple and Mocha Latte, and 5 cartridges that came with "USA Mix" flavor... but I guess MadVapes is just sick awesome, cause they gave me a 10ml of 24mg Cherry Blossom for free. Sweeeeet.
I am vaping all of these on my DSE901.
Fresh Apple
I first dripped this into one of the new carts I received, having taken out the polyfill stuff and cleaned it with tap water, and stuffed it back in. The taste was so-so, definitely an Apple taste, but really faint.
I wasn't satisfied, so I tried the Pyramid Teabag Mod that is touted on this forum.. and it made a HUGE difference! Now the Apple taste is crisp, but could be a bit more powerful and obvious. Throat hit is... spicy? I'm new to e-cigs and the concept of a throat hit, I was smoking cigarettes for about 6 months, so maybe 24mg is a little too strong for me, but whatever, I like it.
I love the flavor, but I almost like the smell even more. The smell of the vapor is pretty pungent, and who can dislike the smell of apples?
I definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a delicious fruit flavor.
Mocha Latte
Very powerful taste! I've found that with the standard pre-filled carts that came with my 901 can be rather hard to taste at all.. but this flavor is intense. A very rich, dark flavor. Very smooth hit. Throat hit is there, but not super powerful.. which isn't a bad thing. I'd say it's comfortable, just right.
The only thing is.. I can't really say for sure that this is a Mocha-ish taste. To me, it seems more like a dark chocolate flavor, and while I guess that's not what I was expecting, it's still REALLY good!
MadVapes warned me with my first order that the Mocha Latte is less sweet, and more like a dark coffee, and I can see where they're coming from. My girlfriend is a coffee fiend, an absolute caffeine addict. I'll have her try this flavor out and see what her experienced coffee-taste-buds have to say.
Still, very tasty! I love how powerful it is. There's not much guessing with the flavor.
Cherry Blossom
Again, MadVapes gave me this flavor for free, which is really generous of them and shows they're interested in keeping their customers happy and returning. Smart business!
I'm not really sure what to say about this flavor. I guess I just can't really taste much of anything. It's not nasty, or foul or anything. It's just kind of... missing a flavor? There's a hint of SOMETHING there, but I just can't quite put my finger on it.
Of course this is just my opinion, and everyone's tongues are different, so I wouldn't be surprised if others find a favorable taste here. I just can't really say much about it.
I've read reviews where people changed their mind entirely after a few days of use, so maybe this flavor just needs some "breaking in". I'll post again if it changes!
USA Mix
This isn't an e-juice, and not even from TopVapor, but I wanted some extra cartridges and they just happened to come with some "USA Mix" flavoring, so I figure I can review it.
Now, I'm not really sure what "USA Mix" is supposed to mean, or if it's an existing flavor outside the e-cig world... but it's not bad!!
I'm new to the e-cig universe, but from what I've read, it seems pre-filled cartridges are not really the most awesome things out there. With that said, these seem pretty tasty. The flavor is fairly strong, easy to tell there's flavor there.
I would describe the taste as a mix of Carmel and Tobacco. Not overpowering, but pretty good overall. I was planning on buying extra carts, pulling the stuffing out, and filling them with my own juice in Teabag Mods, but I'm pretty satisfied and I'm going to keep 2 or 3 of them around.
Also, these cartridges come with a MUCH thicker mouthpiece than the standard carts. I REALLY like them! Just feels more substantial, and doesn't give off as much of a "hissing" sound when hitting.
Cherry Cola
This is the e-juice flavor I ordered with my first purchase from MadVapes, with my DSE901 kit. I got this 10ml bottle almost a week ago, and it's nearly gone.
I love this flavor. The Cola flavor is very strong, and the Cherry is just present enough to notice it. Throat hit is powerful, sizzling my throat and leaving a crisp Cola flavor in my mouth.
Nothing more to say about this one, other than it's awesome.
So in conclusion..
Fresh Apple is crisp and tasty, my new favorite.
Mocha Latte is rich and dark chocolatey.
Cherry Blossom is a mystery I will work on (but it was FREE!!).
USA Mix is surprisingly pleasant.
Cherry Cola definitely lives up to its name.
MadVapes.com is just pure ownage across the board!
to hold me over until I received the Maple Creme I ordered. I found the flavor to be nasty, I just plain do not like it at all. Anybody who likes pomegranate and white chocolate should love this one. I have a 29.99ml bottle, if somebody wants to take it off my hands let me know.
