For the last year or so, I don't think I've seen anything about Kanger that made "the news" for vapours (to grab their attention)... they are regarded as a starter/beginner's kit company at this point.

Which is exactly what the OP is...a starter/beginner.

We just want clouds these days. That is a real problem for those who just want to quit smoking. I actually think it was better a couple years ago when we started slow and learned to step up little by little. You don't need a kanger 200w mod to quit smoking especially if you don't know how to use it.

I wish I could "like" that more than once!

I think a Aspire Nautilus Tank would likely suit you better as a beginner.
Bigger clouds don't mean a better experience for the user.
I've been vaping going on 7 years and I simply don't like a hot vape {more/higher wattage}which you kind of need to run a sub ohm tank.
Start by using a simpler way of vaping and see if it doesn't work better for you. Direct lung hits aren't for everyone.
Best wishes,
C.B.

Subtank mini is a very versatile atty and can be successfully used as a beginner/MTL device. It's really nice with higher resistance Kangertech coils (1.2 and 1.5Ω) and for a perfect MTL--it takes Aspire BVC coils (non-Nautilus). And its RBA can be rebuilt for MTL vaping also--easily--so there's plenty of room to grow. :D

My advice--watch some YouTube videos about your Subtank mini--Phil Busardo is a great teacher and explainer of things. Learn how to use what you have now correctly before you buy something else. It takes a while to figure things out--good luck and welcome to the forum!

Yep! That's exactly how I personally use my STM and TTM tanks. I doubt i'll ever use any of them for sub-ohm vaping.

Yes, but she is having issues, otherwise she wouldn't be here, would she?

Probably has what she has to vape with (and the problems) she has...because someone talked her into a STM, with no info. on its versatility, instead of a more suitable tank for an uninformed beginner! It's not the fault of the Kanger tank...it's not knowing anything about how it can be used with different coils, about adjusting V/W, etc. Could happen with any tank not really meant for an inexperienced beginner who's gotten no guidance in what it can do and how to use it in a variety of ways.

hi everyone, I've just become a member on here today as I'm so unsure about my vaping and to be honest close to giving up on it though I don't really want to. I've been vaping now for about 6 weeks tho I have tried the odd unsuccessful time or two before and I havnt a clue what I should be using. My lips are cracking up and I've become almost afraid to use my vaping device. I have a mini kangertech and sometimes it makes a gurgling noise like there is juice escaping with the vape. Is this a low quality machine and should I upgrade to something else? Or am I using it wrong? Is there something I should be doing that I'm not doing right? I don't even know the right questions to ask lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated x
Hi Tara! I hope you're still trying to give vaping a go, it's important to note that anything that isn't working out for you can be changed. My husband had similar problems with a Toptank mini, no matter what resistance his coil, power level, juice it would gurgle. To make things better for him I had to search for answers and get a tank with more restricted airflow. Now he's doing much better with it and not having those same problems. I saw a few things mentioned in the nautilus line and I think that would be a great place to start looking. As far as the dry lips, mine were terrible when I first started. I used a lip balm and always kept some water handy. I've been at it over 6 months now and don't experience dry lips as often but have found my nasal cavity dries out more easily. This is a pretty common side effect but compared to all the nasty side effects I put up with smoking, I'll take it. Good luck!

Well I'm now using the Smok G-Priv which is a touch screen, it comes with the TVF 8 which is a popular and very good tank. I really don't need all the power if can supply and 2 batteries make it larger and heavier but it slowly became my most used vaporizer. To me this is progress, it's simpler to use and supplies great flavor and vapor.

Welcome and glad you joined. This kind of sums it up.
"So seeing as I now have some good MTL (mouth to lung) tanks and repeatable setups at 8-12W, and some nice replicable juices, I thought I’d set up my predominantly DL Bellus tank with a DL setup – dual Claptons 26/32G Kanthal (which incidentally took me three goes to get into the Bellus’s small chamber without shorting, details if you’re interested) and try my two current favourite juices – Pina Colada (AM vape), and Mild Sweet Cigar (PM vape) The verdict? Didn’t taste or throat hit ANY better. Sure it produced bigger clouds (subjectively twice as big?), but used 60W instead of 15W, and a directly proportional greater quantity of juice – I normally use about 1 ml/hr in my MTL tanks, this setup used 2ml in half-an-hour.

Bottom line - it appears you don't need mega coils or Watts for good flavor or throat hit. Admittedly it's taken MONTHS to find the right gear etc seeing as most manufacturers are aiming at the DL market (and why wouldn't they? The money is in the consumables...), but with persistence (/ADHD/OCD) you can replace cigarettes on the cheap... Happy to share what I've learned so far..."
Might want to do non sub-ohm first (Over 1 ohms). You will get great flavor but the cloud production is not as intense as you can produce with sub ohm'g tank. Would check out these tanks:
The Tron-S, with the CLR coils, the EHpro Kayfun Lite V2, Kayfun V5, and the Subtank Mini with the RBA.
Why Kayfun?
