| Jason and Fraser have provided this company statement regarding proposed future regulations for e-cigarettes: 'We have consciously taken a 'watch and wait' approach until some clear detail emerged on the likely direction of the international regulating bodies. We have been engaged with the tobacco Vapor Electronic Cigarette Association (TVECA) for a number of months, and have been invited by TVECA to represent the organisation as the UK industry representation. We believe that TVECA is the only legitimate international industry representative body that has the credibility and industry representation to be able to bring rational influence to the regulating bodies in both the USA and Europe. TVECA is currently engaged in direct discussion with both the FDA and EU regulating bodies, with a specific aim to ensure that current proposals are reviewed and amended to bring as a minimum parity of regulation to tobacco smoking products and Electronic Cigarettes. Current proposals unjustifiably and punitively affect electronic cigarettes and indeed, we believe subordinate our product to conventional cigarettes and related tobacco products. This is immoral and also we believe illegal. However, we will not engage in ineffective hue and cry but ensure considered, informed and intelligent influences are brought to this strategic cross road for our industry.
