Tragic New Year.

5C I'm so sorry about your brother. Wayne has been my SIL for 23 years and I love him as a son. He and my daughter have a 22 yr. old daughter with Down's Syndrome that isn't going to understand this and a beautiful 20 daughter that just got enganged. The hospital said he is paralized from the waist down and they can do nothing about it. He has almost all of his ribs broken and a crushed/collapsed lung. This boy (to me) will not live like that. I'm sorry this post does not belong here but I'm hurting right now and hopefully Buzzkill will be tolerent.
Fran you are a member of our Buzz family and we are all praying for you. Please don't feel like your posts don't belong here.
Fran this is exactly where it belongs. We aren't just vaping buddies, were family here and what hurts one of us hurts us all. It's been about 6 yrs. since my brother died so I'm over the bad part. If your SIL will be able to pull through that would be wonderful. Even if he's paralyzed they are making headway in medicine in leaps and bounds and in that field too. I pray it all comes out well for you.

Thank you all! I've always been a tough gal but I'm I think this one is one to many. But on the other hand I'm not the one in the hospital. I'm sorry-just hurting. No more posts.

Fran, I wish there was more that I could say that would help you and your family's pain right now. I am very close to my mother in law and I think I have some idea about your love for your son in law. This just hurts. It sucks that we're powerless to change these things when they happen. Please know that you are truly in my thoughts and that I can feel the pain in these posts and I am deeply sorry for it.
My love goes out to you and your daughter and your son in law in hopes that it may help to strengthen you all.

Sorry to hear Fran.. If I may ask, where is his injury ? I´m a paraplegic, broke my back for 3 years ago, and just have to say, even though it is tragic being put in a wheelchair, life is not that bad.

I saw this thread just before turning out the lights last night, then went to sleep with the reminder refreshed in my mind—the same I'd felt when my father died, then again when my sister followed—of just how minuscule are the daily woes and aches of my life.
I only know you, Fran, to the limited extent I can from reading your posts, but that's been enough to acquaint me with the quality of who you are.
