Specifically, how do you Reonauts drive with your Reos? I drive a 5 speed manual transmission and it can get to be a bit of a pain shifting and holding the Grand... I don't want it to fall/etc. I've searched briefly for a cup holder insert that would hold it for me, but I'm not finding anything solid.

I do not drive a manual transmission, but I have found a coozie or huggie works really well!

I just made some holders out of foam that I cut into circles for the cup holder. Then I cut rectangles to hold the mod.

But I am currently making 4 out of oak at this very moment. :)

They are going to be Oak circles with velvet lined rectangles that the REOs slide right in and out of.

If all goes well they just might be for sale in the very near future.

I like lanyards and just wonder how difficult it would be to install one on the REO. I am sure it was considered by the supplier at some point as an option so wonder why it isn't offered. I don't own one (YET!!!) but would probably install one myself unless there is a functional reason not to. Thoughts?

I wouldn't want my Grand hanging from my neck... It's too heavy imo. I loved lanyards for my SmokeTip and also for my ego... but it might be a bit much with the Grand lol.

I hear you on the heaviness however, I want mine close always and out of reach of inquiring little minds so even my little chuck hangs on a lanyard when I'm using it and that is a bit heavy too. I have one of the vent mounted partly mesh bag type holder for cellphones or pens or whatever that would be strong enough and would be washable if juice got on it.

I keep mine in my console mostly or one of the cup holders. But often, I just keep it between my legs. Also, I have put it on the dashboard behind the steering wheel on occasion, or in my visor. Lots of places to stow it. Just not my pocket....too hard to retrieve while driving. :)

I keep one between my legs too and if I have a skirt on I just hike it up. That might not be a good solution, though, if you have a front seat passenger that is not a familiar mate or friend.

I like Big Hitter's solution a lot. Problem with DH's car is that usually the only two cup holder are in use when we are both in the car. I usually have a Grand and a Mini or a Woodvil, two Reos in the car with me. The only place for a second one, in his car is the console but when I turn corners I have to hold it to keep it from falling over. My car has plenty of cup holders and places but I'm sure many don't. Both cars are automatic so I'm not moving my legs a lot. So, sometimes I have both Reos between my legs. In heavy traffic, when, switching between brake and gas pedal I don't like to have two in my lap because I don't want them to abrade and mar each other; just like what would happen with shifting frequently.

One of those plastic cheap door cup hangers might work; the kind that slips down into the window grove. And then fashion something like what BH is suggesting.

DH's car's "ash tray", or what used to be used as ash trays, more frequently used for change now days, is too shallow for a Reo. Occasionally I'll make a quick acceleration and propped up Reo will go flying, even off the center console. I hate when that happens. Sometimes, when I'm driving his car without a passenger. I'll prop extra Reo up against passenger seat back but a quick stop causes it to tump over. I hate that too.

i just sit mines in the little "handle" in my door.

DH's car has a good sized grove in the door but we keep a Swiss Army Knife there and some change. My car has an opening in the same place. Lower down, on the door, is a shelf. It's okay for change, that frequently flies out but not deep enough to secure the REO.

I basically chain vape in the car. A Mini would be easier to hold with steering hand if needing to use right hand (in the US and some other countries - reversed in Britain and "colonies".)

On my recent trip I happened to have on a shirt with a pocket. That worked really well to hold my Grand when not in hand. Usually in my van I use the use to be ashtray, it is shallow but I can put the Grand at an angle and it stays put. It is a weird shape tray though and may not work in others. One thing for sure I always want it with me. Even if I put it in the top of my purse on the seat next to me.
