Traveling with REO/batts

I'm taking my first flight/trip with the REOs tomorrow morning and since I'm a HORRIBLE flier, I don't want to deal w/issues at the TSA and cause me to panic more.

My friend just read on Southwest's fact page something about lithium batts of a certain size are prohibited. I'm assuming they mean larger than 1840 or 18650. At least I hope. I plan on obviously having my batts removed out of the REO and stored in the plastic safety containers in my carry own tote with my REO's. Is this a good idea?

I was going to pack my REO in my check-in suitcase but worried it might get stolen, but I'm also worried about catching grief with TSA

I haven't traveled since my accident but when I did I had no problems taking batteries in my luggage or my carry on.

I have been on many flights with a REO. Just place it in the tray, have your batteries in your CARRY ON. juice needs to be in your liquids bag. A REO is in their database, they don't even blink. The only issue I ever had was in a foreign country and they just told me to "make it work" - they wanted to see it used.

I fly all the time, Batteries must be in carry on and not in checked bags. Just have empty bottles in the Reos so they don't auto squonk and you'll be fine.

Reos, batteries and 30ml of juice go in my carry on, everything else like more juice and rebuild stuff goes checked.

What do you mean juice in a liquids bag? What's a liquids bag? I've only flown once since I started vaping and didn't have much stuff to take. I'm wanting to take A LOT and scared they will give me trouble.

It's the 311 rule, all liquids in carry on must be 3 oz or less in 1, 1 quart sized zip lock. You must pull this zip lock out and put in the tray.

the devices and batteries will be fine, I regularly carry on 3 or 4 Reos and 10 batteries. Carry on one or two 30 ml bottles of juice, put the rest in checked.

They won't give you trouble, but if you have all those devices, they might look at them. You'll want them in your carry-on so you can answer questions about them. The batteries must be in your carry-on too.

A liquids bag is this rule: 3-1-1 Liquids Rule | Transportation Security Administration

If you were only bringing one device, I would place it in the tray, so since you're not, have them in a carry-on where they are easily accessible.

For Clarity each container in the zip lock must be 3oz or less not the entire contents of the zip lock

Not sure, it's related lithium batteries and thermal run away. You can deal with a thermal event in carry on but a runaway battery in checked is whole different problem.

Oohhhh I understand liquids bag thing now. Ever since I had a brand new bottle of perfume confiscated, I do not carry any liquid on my carry on. And guess I'll carry on all the mods/batts in the carry on tote and if they search it, so be it. As long as they don't confiscate it. And probably will just fill one little 3 ml triton tank with juice and check in all the other juice.

all your vaping stuff.That's what i do. The only thing i carry on is the e-cig i got from the gas station. I don't have any luck with the tsa people.

I get what your saying but the batts for sure need to be carried on. My worry is I have to take so much Xanax to fly that if they start hassling with me, I can't be responsible for what I say or my actions. LOLOLOL

I fly a lot and actually to the chance for damage, loss or theft is with checked. so why take a chance with checking them?
