One of mine slid off in what sounds like the same manner.

I used JB Weld on it and didn't touch it for two days. Seems to be fine now (although, admittedly, I AM treating that one a fair bit more gently at the moment). Was going to try some Gorilla Glue (my usual go-to for daily muck-ups), but as the fellas stated I was kinda' iffy about it being around the heat.

Hope it works out for you, OP!

I think I have some JB weld I meant to find to fix something else... Hm. I guess that's as good a motivation as any to figure out where I put it and actually fix that decoration on the headboard and also reattach this.

I don't think he was even particularly rough with it. He isn't always the most careful, but it actually happened in front of me and he didn't even realize at first. It just seems like whatever attached it gave out instead of it unscrewing.

Thanks. Ya; wasn't sure most glues would be okay if they got warm there.. then with it both being metal to stick together and it being a tight fit for some sorts of fixes, well... figured someone here would have better ideas than me.
