For comparison purposes, when talking about cameras, weapons, helicopters, golf, gadgets (pretty much all my hobbies), sure I can probably enter in and get by with the base entry-level model. However, I will most likely outgrow that entry-level model and want to be a bit more selective in the options I apply to that model. Cameras, sure a point and shoot will work most of the time. But, a DSLR is so much better. Guns? A CZ might be able to put rounds down range or a .22 might be great for learning on, but a Kimber or a .45 will more adequately do the job and be more accurate in the process. Sure, I can go flying with a model I buy from some Chinese distributor thats a knock off of another brand. But, once I get pretty good flying helicopters, I'm going to want a model that I can adjust and do more with. I can go out and buy a set of golf clubs at Wal-Mart for super cheap and go hit some golf balls, but once I start getting good, I'll probably want custom shafts and particular heads. However, not everyone is me and they are content with a point and shoot camera, a .22 CZ, a Walkera helicopter, a set of Pinemeadow clubs, etc. Nothing wrong with that.

Now, with that being said, not everyone needs a DSLR for just taking family snapshots. Not everyone needs a tournament level weapon or enough firepower to knock down a zombie on PCP. Not everyone needs a helicopter with more options for configurations and adjustability to just hover/fly basic circuits. Not everyone needs Pings or TaylorMades, etc to just go to the range or play the rare round of golf. In my case, I typically get pretty good at whatever I put my mind to and outgrow anything basic or entry-level pretty quickly, but that's me and YMMV.

Yes, the GoGo is a good mid level PV that you can not "play legos" with. No swapping various mods out there without an adapter. On the plus side, if you like the way it hits you are all set.

I am eagerly awaiting the next generation modular PV that has the best of all world's.

There's so much to be said for PV's that don't need to be fussed over. I use an eGo and any battery from 650 mah up will get me anywhere and back. My friends with big batt mods seem to be using their smaller units more lately too. I think convenience out weighs technical sophistication after a while.

It would be hard to get more convenient than the Darwin. Screw on your atty, carto or storm tank, dial in your prefered power level, then vape continuiously for 21+ hours without doing anything but pushing the button.

Like that one you showed me the CAD mock up of.

Ahh, ok.

You are talking about having a power device (battery storage), VV or Power Regulated device, feed or storage device; working in unison but individual units that could be applied to something else, if modularly compatible. GG looks to be moving that direction, in some manner. Same with JCMod. Honestly though, there is a lot of modularity already existing, with tradeoffs. However, sometimes adjustments are required. Anything modular, technically by it's nature, isn't novice-friendly out of the box.

Been around, still being worked on.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for not being around as much as we could right now during crunch time.. I want you all to know that we are working hard, and doing our best to bring the Eclipse out as soon as its ready. We want to make sure we have done our very best, and test, and test, and test,,,,,, and test the unit so we know that everyone will have a great unit.. and a solid device.. this is part of the process.. and as I said in the interview recently even if you are way outside of your warranty and you need us to repair a particular part because you dropped your unit, or some part of the unit fails down the road later after your warranty or extended warranty, we will be here to repair your Eclipse if needed.

We have not decided the cost of the extended warranty yet,

The manufactures warranties our pumps for almost a year but they tell us that the have had pumps running for much longer than this (with proper care, and maintenance).

We are doing our best to stay on schedule, as we always have and we only ask that you continue to have some understanding for the development of the Eclipse, and all the facets that are involved in making a device of this caliber.

As usual thank you all so much for you continued support, and enthusiasm around the Eclipse. Now I have to get back to work! LOL.. on the Eclipse

Oh.. yes and the unit WILL come with the drip adapter or course, and one High Drain Battery MNKE at no additional cost.

Well that and a costly charging and balancing system. I just find it had to believe that this is the "best" they can do. I guess you have to keep cost down etc... Damn you showing me a good VV hit!

I suppose the perfect one for my tastes would be:

  • Relatively small so it fits in your pocket
  • Battery that lasts at least 8 hours with semi heavy vaping
  • Rechargeable on USB
  • Bottle or cartridge feed for quick juice swaps yet having at least 3ml available to you
  • Intelligent variable voltage (Quick picks for your favorite juices would be nice)

ah well... :glare:
