I got through the first three months of not smoking with very little effort and I give all credit for that to vaping. But there's something about the crisp fall air and turning leaves that makes me miss the sound and smell of a Zippo lighter and the warm, rich smoke of a Nat Sherman Cigaretello Filter or MCD. I started smoking habitually around this time 32 years ago and I guess I still associate the colder months (especially the holiday season) with the pleasure I used to get from a good smoke.
The temptation to buy a pack and allow myself to enjoy one "every now and then" has been great lately but why would I want to mess up three months of progress? I'm so glad I can grab a PV and puff away till the urge subsides; I don't think I'd still be a non-smoker right now if i'd tried to quit using any other method.
I will say this, though: if I ever find a juice and a PV that get me close to the experience of savoring a Nat Sherman on a crisp autumn morning, then I'll know that I'm truly done with smoking forever.
