Triton tanks

I replaced the coil heads on my first two Triton tanks from the kit with T2 coils I had; this was before the replacements became available. Worked just fine. And, lets be honest here, these are basically Halo-friendly Kanger T2s. The only difference I notice between a Kanger T2 and Halo Triton tank is the post on the bottom of the tank, which is why the Triton tank only works with a Triton battery, and vice versa.

I did however notice that the shorter wicks on the T2 replacements I had seemed to give me less dry/burn hits. Why is a mystery, but I've taken to shortening the coil-wick on the tanks and leaving the top/flavor wick long. Seems to be a best of both worlds, or a damn fine placebo. YMMV

The atomizer on the Triton tank (which is a clearomizer) is the coil/wick assembly which screws into the tank. The silicone collar is the silicone "sleeve" that covers the coil assembly.

Yes, the metal air tube is the tube which the coil screws into, allowing air flow.

Don't know if I'd call bottom an upgrade, per se. They may offer different tanks later, but I imagine it'll be a while off.

Could always grab an 808/510 or 808/eGo adaptor in the meanwhile.

The T3 tanks from SI work on Triton batteries, and the Triton tanks work on Volt X2/Spinner batteries. IMO, the bottom feeders (T3) work better, and they don't have visible "tentacles." The perfect tank for me would have a threaded atomizer at the bottom (T3) for effectiveness and easy replacement ,and a threaded mouthpiece at the top (Triton) for easy refilling. And replaceable o-ring seals on both ends.

That'd make sense; volt shares the same thread as the G6, right? I guess I meant the more generic eGo types and the Triton are incompatible.

Perhaps a stupid question, but I have to ask...

What is the difference between different resistance heads? Will a lower resistance head run hotter than a higher resistance? If so, will that make the juice warmer?

Lower resistance means more electricity running through it, so will the lower resistance shorten battery run time?

From the reading I've done, lower resistance will run hotter and it will decrease battery life. Even though lower resistance shouldn't lower battery life according to electrical theory.

I can tell a huge difference between the regular g6 carts and the low-resistance carts that I ordered. The LR carts are awesome.

It is a little hit and miss with LR cartomizers. They can bring the most out of some ejuices, but on the other hand can make some flavors harsh...you just have to match what you are using to bring out the "sweet spot" in different ejuices. When possible, using a vv battery is an easier and more accurate way to achieve this than by varying coil resistance. For a G6 owner though, with no vv battery option, trying the LR cartomizers is pretty much the only way to adjust the "heat" of the vape.

I used to think the same way about eGo sized batteries. However, one thing I have come to discover: If I am out vaping in public, sometimes in places where cigarettes would be unacceptable, I am more comfortable vaping something that does NOT look much like a traditional cigarette. Besides, the Triton delivers so much better vapor/flavor, I don't think I'll ever go back to a stick-battery set up, good as the G6 is. When I'm out at the casino, I actually see more women pull an eGo/clearo combo out of their handbag than I see guys vaping them.

I may have finally made it to my first head replacement. My purple tank is dedicated to Tribeca and I have run well over 30ml through it since I got it a month ago. I am starting to get that dreaded burnt taste. I am tempted to try and rinse/dry burn it though to see if it will go a bit longer. I have a pack of spare heads though. What say the hive mind? Swap or Fiddle?

Put in a new coil. Why torture yourself? If you let it go too far, you'll get flakes of burnt wick in your juice. Happened to me when I swirled around some Tiki Juice. The juice went in where the wicks are, and came out with flakes.
