I tried that, and failed MISERABLY LOL
Just do the Teflon tape trick when replacing the coil wick. Works every time! I have replaced wicks on many of my Triton coils.
Is there a difference in Teflon tape or any other tape? I mean the duct tape works really well on kids mouths shouldn't it work just as good on a durn wickm
LOL It's much thicker, though. Teflon tape is really thin and doesn't stick, except sort of to itself!
Oh ok gotcha. Is this something I can find at like my local stores or online only?
Yes any hardware store has it. Some call it plumbers tape. Just ask for that white stretchy tape that you wrap around threads on your faucet to keep it from leaking.
I'll bet you your hubby has a roll or three. Or a neighbor.

Well he has tapes for all kinds of stuff, electric stuff, duct stuff, ducks, some random red blue and yellow. ..

Oh, well. Any hardware store, every Home depot and lowes carries this. The tape itself is white and very thin. Like Kenny Loggins.
Mine is grey...and it's called 'heavy duty thread seal tape' - no mention of teflon, although that's what I was given when I asked for Teflon tape!
