Trouble making coils, need suggestions...(this is embarassing)

I was in an automobile accident a couple years ago and now suffer from brain damage (my limbic system and hippocampus). One of the many problem's is that my hands are extremely shaky all the time. I can't take pictures with my phone otherwise they're blurry, I can barely play guitar anymore, I can't write my own name without it looking like I'm 6 years old even though I'm a full-grown 18 year-old. And now that I thoroughly enjoy vaping, I'm faced with the trouble of making decent coils. I've done it a few times, but it takes me an hour to do what looks like a joke and I usually give up and have someone do it for me. But I want to try and be somewhat independent, so what are some suggestions y'all have that could help me out with making coils? Thanks all, anything is appreciated.

Nothing to be embarassed about. I'm not sure how long these have been around, not too long, but I just recently heard of it. It's called a kuro koiler, I don't have one yet, but it could definitely be a great tool for you. In Rip Tripper's review he mentions it's a great tool for someone with arthritis or shaky hands, and he has an older arthritic neighbor that he gave one to that allowed her to get into coil building.

Link to Rip Tripper's review/demo - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvMzjad5mfY

Info where to get them - Kuro Koiler Wire Coiling Tool - $2.69/$2.99 USA

Here is just one vendor who makes pre-made coils. They may seem pricy, but considering how long a coil will last if you take care of it, the cost might balance out. Pre-Made Vaping Coils - 28 Gauge Kanthal Double Twisted Kayfun Style - 1.0 ohms - Vaping Cotton Online

You can probably find coils for less, I've even seen them on eBay, but I like the unusual coils pictured on the Vaping Cotton site. This one blows me away:

Nothing to feel ashamed of dude... Im 25 and constantly smacking people or walking into stuff... Brainsurgery 3 years ago made me loose the right and lower side of my vision on both eyes, and now people think im the most clumsy person on earth since i always tilt over stuff (or almost mess myself when i dont hear them sneaking up on me and i turn)... Get the kuro coiler and a jig to hold the rda/rba's steady while you put in the coil... You can get both things at fasttech for cheap :D... And dont EVER feel ashamed about your hands shaking...
And if people ask why they shake just tell them that its your builtin m0ron radar going nuts over something really closeby :D

Don't get discouraged, there is nothing wrong with my hands, and my first attempt at making a decent set of coils took me over 2 hours (and 7 discarded coils) to get it right. It took me about 12 rebuilds before I had it under an hour. I'm not that great with fine detail work, and I have to work under a Magnifying lamp.

Of course, you could always purchase prebuilt coils.

You don't even wanna know about my first attempt at wrapping a coil
Besides being 74 years old, doctors have sliced & diced my rt. hand to the point that it spends half it's time in a plastic brace.
So trust me, where there's a will there's a way, and there is nothing wrong with using a few "cheaters" if need be.

I have to use a good magnifier/with light.
and my old fly tying jig sure helps!

Don't be embarrassed no need there are Plenty of people who have no challenges and can't build as I am 1 of them. I got a coil making kit from Coil Master. It takes a little practice but the easiest way & some great looking & vaping coils.

Zac, I am really glad you posted this because I did not think I would get into making coils but now that I see the tools that others have linked here I think I will buy one!

Sorry about your health problems but it is nothing to be embarrassed about. If people in your real life laugh at you over a disability it says more about their lacking charactor and social skills then it does about you. Vape happy!!

    Hi, Zac,

101vape has the Kuro Coilers for $2.99 each (there are 3 sizes):
Kuro Koiler Clone - 101 Vape

FastTech sells a lot of different pre-made coils quite inexpensively:
    https://www.fasttech.com/search?pre-coiled

Unfortunately, due to the Chinese New Year, you REALLY don't want to order from Fasttech until perhaps the middle of March.

How about wicking? Are you able to do that OK?

And good magnification is also a big help; I use 3.5 reading glasses and a bright lamp.
