sorry if this is redundant to some....

but i looked all around here and most only talk about their 501's or 808's and i have no idea what those are.

i have had my 4072 pen style for a week now and am fairly happy with it... depending what juice i'm using, (mixing my own already)

however, i am looking for a more consistent, hotter, harder hit. I thought i might find that with Low Resistance atomizers. (i know i can use the be112's, 801's and 901's with my batteries)
(or should i just go high voltage)?

additionally, i was looking for a more efficient approach for prolonging battery use.
I thought if i got a passthrough it could satisfy that need, as i spend about half my time on the computer or in a car. (in the car i could use the cigarette adapter and with the computer, the usb or main.)

if i am going to use it in the house, i want to be able to "unhook" it and be free to roam the house for a while, without having to "unscrew it" and screw on another battery.

the confusing part now is that i found that not all passthroughs have an inline "battery". some are just to provide power while plugged in.

that said, whether they have an actual battery or not, claim to provide 5 volts of vaping power while plugged in..... does this mean they only provide 3.7 volts when not plugged in. (if this is the case, then i would have to change back and forth from a low resistance atomizer to a regular atomizer)

my problem is I am not finding enough "comprehensive" information, or products for that matter, which explain or show the differences, or compatability of the different products.

If anyone could shed a little light regarding what my options are with my model 4072 penstyle, it would be really, really, really appreciated!
(I made the decision two days ago to buy all of this stuff, atty's, batteries and passthrough,,, and now i am completely confused on what to actually buy)

thanks
By the way,, vapor kings has a killer deal on 4072 batteries at just $5.45 each..... they recieved a "wrong" shipment.

Sorry, can't help, but will try to bump ya for the next hour. Maybe someone familiar with your model can chime in, but I can speak in general.

The true answer is, electricity doesn't work that way.

5V is the unloaded voltage. USB has a current limiter. So the loaded voltage can drop much lower and will be completely dependent on the resistance of the atty. Voltage=Resistance*Current, so if you have your atty resistance and know a typical computer USB port has a max of 0.5 amp current, you can quickly determine what your loaded voltage is.

(I believe that if a battery is inline, then the output voltage will be the battery voltage. Working the circuit differently takes more components and more components makes them more expensive.)

Yes DSE801 items should work, but not always. The connector on the RN4072 atomizer is recessed a little deeper and for this reason they won't always get a good connection. I found it was pretty hit and miss, some DSE801 batteries worked fine with 4072 attys, others from the same order would not. If you ever run into this issue the "staple mod" may help (try searching this forum on staple mod). Adapters are available to use a DSE801/RN4072 style atomiser with whatever battery style you want.

As for LR atomisers you shouldn't use them with standard e-cig batteries as the power draw is too large for the little batteries. Ideally they work best on big battery mods, but can also be used on eGo style devices.

yeah, now if I could find out the exact specs of my 4072 battery.... i have looked everywhere, tried to contact manufactures... you name it.

there only seems to be a couple of "big" or "mega" batteries out there that are around 700 to 900mAh... darn it, can't remember what they are or where i found them now...

maybe i'm missing something...

thanks for all your input
