So I'm ready to go for my first mechanical mod...and I'm also ready for some variable wattage deliciousness. I'm just so torn and confused and relatively new to the APV life (have only owned a Bombshell so far...which lead to me feeling quite -___- )...I'm looking at my options and so far:

Legacy: Is getting nothing but rave reviews, the price gets my wallet super horny, and the extension adds for some flexability. However, I'm kind of an aesthetics ..... after going with a function over form Bombshell...if I'm dropping this type of guap I'd like my mod to be appealing to the eye while also giving me a great vape, and that sandblast finish doesn't look too fly (at least in pictures) and the head makes it look like most tanks would just appear awkward on it...seems like I would need to drip exclusively just to make it not look ridiculous.

The Cube: Now, I've heard stellar reviews on this...and the price is definitely up there (almost double) and has me a bit cautious since this will be my first mechnical mod. The sexiness is undeniable though...and the possibilities are endless with all of the great Siam tanks/drip tips/etc. Another turn off though is the fact I don't have much play room. If I get the 18650+ and my Kick...well...kicks the bucket - It's pretty much useless until I can attain another one...and if I get just the normal 18650 I might find that an 18490/18500 might not give me the vape time I require. (I work 14 hour shifts, vaping heavily...and really wouldn't want to carry more than one extra battery)

So any insight from owners of either device (pro, cons, etc.) would be relly helpful...and any suggestion on some other great mechanical mods that can be kicked in it's jibblies would be just as awesome!

A Megalodon (if they ever get back into production), the ubiquitous Silver Bullet, the Bolt (Smoktech copy of the SB) and the Legacy can be kicked and use an 18650 with extensions added. Another 18650 mod to consider would be the P+18650. It can't take the 18650 and a kick, but it's a great mod.

You may want to consider just going with a device that is already variable wattage/voltage. I say this since most folks that go to the variable types tend to get used to the higher output. At that point, going back doesn't seem very satisfying.

The kick may seem like the answer to everything but, unlike it's cousin the Darwin, it can only max out at 10W.

Hmmm, Alloy XL looks like an unbranded Prodigy.

And I guess I should give the Kicked Legacy a chance...I'm wary since I went with the Bombshell over the Silver Bullet, and that blew up in my face (no pun intended and not literally, but almost) that going the cheaper route would be a mistake. But the poistive things I'm hearing about it are really stacking up.

Also, w00pty w00p to New Haven! Hamden resident rightchea.

I believe the Siam can be used without the kick. You probably won't like it much if you're used to the kick though.

Oh I know it will in other sizes, but I'm talking about the 18650+ version though. It's made larger so it can use 18650 & a Kick...but it's not like there's extension piece I can add on, it's just the size of it therefore without a kick it's too large for just an 18650. I'm really loving the look of the Cube too. Wish there was a way I could get my hands on a black sand art version. That thing is amazing lookin'...

it would be very easy to make a filler piece to take the place of the Kick in the cube+
a piece of copper ground rod inserted into a piece delrin plastic that is 18mm diameter would do it.

I have a Cube Mini and like it but i think it is a little too blocky,i have a hex on the way so we will see if i like that better.
