My spring went :::: poof:::: into thin air and I'm having GG withdrawls.

I tried one from a pen but that doesn't work well at all. (unless it's a length thing... can someone count the number of rounds or tell me measurement of the original?)

Is there one I could get local until mine (hopefully) shows up? Hardware? I have a Lowes and Home depot very close... but what department category? Can't recall ever seeing assorted springs for sale anywhere... tho wasn't desperate for one.. until now!:cry::cry:

Hi friend:).
You had a short circuit from a faulty atomizer. Spring is 10mm long, 5 mm fat and 4mm internal diameter. If you find a 9mm long and 3,5 mm internal diameter is still ok. The only you have to take care is to fit inside the button's tube. Not tight but not loosy.

Rob and Lisa have some spare springs so please ask them to send you one:)

Are you talking about the spring from the button or the one inside the end cap? I don't see how you could loose the one from the button. You can still use the TS without this spring , just be careful not to smash the batteries. My prototype TS has NO spring in it. I just feel when the battery touches the poles and stop, then a slight tighten to secure it. If the button's spring is bad you can always take it out and re-stretch it.

Thanks guys. Not a faulty atomizer.. the spring jumped off when i wasn't looking apparently. Had changed to PT vaping last night & it was just "gone" when I went to change back to battery. I've looked for hours, and it HAS to be here somewhere..

Imeo - your customer service is the absolute BEST. Where else do you get rapid response - within 20 min from the manufacturer himself ?!

and Grimmer- you too.... within 10 minutes you were there to help.

Many many thanks to both of you.

LOL! Unbelievable. It works Soooo much better with NO spring than the one out of a pen.

Vapn.... THANK YOU. I'll be glad when it shows up, but now.. until then.. I can lay off the panic button. Whew! :D

SOOOO HAPPY TO HELP.... That is what I am here for! The spring is actually only there to protect the battery from accidental over tightening. I have a few CR2s with dents in them from the prototype. So while this does work still be careful to only tighten it enough to make contact.

oh well crapolla i thought he was talking about the button...woops my bad :-x:-x:-x:-x

Not bad grimmer! I was looking at your picture and wondering why one would not just stretch the spring back out. I have done this on two of my buttons when they melt down. As long as they don't weld together you should be fine. You can actually adjust the spring rate this way. A hair trigger can be achieved by simply smashing the spring a bit. For a tighter less touchy button you can make it longer by stretching it out a bit. Be careful though as you can break it with repetitive stretching. AAAAHHHH the joys of owning a serviceable device....

To speak the truth I dont use the spring in my GGTS:D:D

Jas4, I put the spring there just for turning the AFS right or left in case we need the laser hole up and down and because some people will overtight the GG as Vapn said. But if you tight them right and you dont have the old AFS, then no spring required.

BUT...... spring has another role too. If a short cirquit happens, then the spring melts so its a safety feature for GG. If you want a spring please order one from Lisa or Rob in some days that I will send some of them.

So now that you dont have a spring, if you see that GG is not firing you have to check if batteries are discharged but also keep an eye to atomizer. A faulty atomizer can cause a short. You will notice that if you see a not working well button because spring on it will melt, or a hot GG. In that case you will need a new button spring.
