Great looking setup Enaud!
How are you liking the twisted coil in the Cyclone? I have a Hornet & Igo-s on my older OG REOs and RM2 & Nuppin on my other 2. It seems there has been a lot of people commenting on their twisted coils and how much better they are than single wire coils. Do you find the same thing? I am curious how twisted performs with the smaller footprint of Cyclone/Hornet/Diva type atties,
I am so tempted to try a twisted on my Nuppin' but I have been hesitant as the single coil setup I have on now is so good! But you know how it is, always looking for that extra something.
I normally build a 7/8 wrap of 29g on a 16g leur with RxW that comes out at about 1.2 ohms. With the twisted would I need to add wraps to get the same resistance? Any insights welcomed. :)
All I can say is play around with it and see if you like twisted. I'm pretty new to smaller atties like the RM2, Igo-s, and Cyclone. My go to drippers before REOs were OGO-L and IGO-w. I've got a twisted 32ga coil on my BF IGO-W and the twisted 30ga on the Cyclone. Both are 3/32 ID and like 5/6 wraps. I get more intense flavor and denser vapor production with the twisted, it cuts the resistance in half, and gives more surface area to vaporize the liquid. With the Cyclone I need to squonk every other hit, the Igo I can go four or five between squonks. The coil was a tight fit in the Cyclone. They seem to take about a 1/2 second to ramp up to temp, and hold some heat, so I wait for the crackle before taking a drag, and cut off power during the hit and keep drawing for a second or so after.
When I first install a new twisted coil, I leave the legs long, so I can fire it a few times and tune it up, squishing it tighter after firing while still hot, then inserting a bit and pulling away from the posts, till I like the shape and heat up glow. Then I loosen the posts and pull it into the cup and muscle the legs where I want them with the tweezers. Have fun :)

Got it! Thanks for your input.
I'm going to give it a try on my RM2 since it's the easiest atty to build on. If I want to stay around 1.0 ohm I'm probably looking at at least 10 wraps with twisted 29g which will be a pretty long coil.
May have to explore sub ohms for the smaller Hornet to keep it at 7/8 wrap as 10 wraps would be tight!

Beautiful setup and congrats! I love watching the birds too [emoji4] Just picked up another bag of seed for our impending snowstorm because I know they will go through it!

BTW I'm also in NC [emoji1]

My sister is in Cary, NC and big time parrot lover! She has a yellow naped amazon. They are not digging the weather right now. I told her to suck it up as she could be here in CT! It's been so cold that even the winter season birds like Cardinals are nowhere to be seen! Brrrrrrrr........

I'm originally from NH, and my family is all up there, You folks have sure been hammered this year by winter weather! I'm just two towns south of Cary, we've had a lot of cloudy, grey days this winter, and possibly more snow tonight, they don't have any equipment to deal with it on the local level, so everything comes to a stop when it snows here...

Hi Momabird! I noticed that before :) I keep three feeders and a suet station here;) and in the summer keep two hummer feeders going, my yard is pretty busy, I love it when I can just chill out on the back deck and just veg out watching the birds and other critters. I gotta buy the 50lb bags of seed :D

Real nice rig ENAUD..... you just gotta love the TRA finish and the Cyclone together. TRA is my favorite metal finish, the 2013 Cyclones ruled the roost here until I got the Nuppin's. Both of my Cyclones are punched out... 5/64 and 7/64 for my very long lung hits. They both reside on 18650 Woodvil's now though, make them 2 of my favorite Reos.

I like old skol too, probably because I am old skol. While I have a Mini 2.1 STD, my real OS Reo is an original VVG SV with a punched out Nickel RM2, but sometimes it wears an IGO-S to make the skyscraper a little shorter. The micro side button on it is as natural to use as natural gets.

TRA if my favorite, and the black anodized is a very strong second for me. It feels silky smooth in hand, an I think any marks over time will add character to it. My next REO will probably be a mini LP black ano.
Old school, I still rock an RSST genni and Protanks :) All my Kafun's are cleaned and boxed up.
