I just measured it as 87mm high, 58mm wide and 27mm thick but the brass trim insert adds another 2mm to the width on this one, so this one with the brass trim on the ultem faceplate is actually ~59mm wide.

the ultem version of this mod can take a thinner door and rear panel than a wood mod can take so the ultems are a few mm's less thick, but I can't really take much from anywhere else without compromising the integrity of the structure or squaring off corners.

a squared off corner mod will measure a little less in the width, I could easily take another 5mm off the width by squaring off the corners but that wouldn't really make it any more comfortable to hold and would make it more similar to many other square mods out there. squared is easier to manufacture with cnc and many mods are all done with cnc, but since my mods are all hand shaped and contoured anyway, I prefer the comfort of a rounded off mod and the extra 5mm width doesn't take anything away from the comfort in hand, it actually makes it a little more comfortable in my opinion.

As soon as I'm done with Pete I'll be in for a black face with brass trim and ultem buttons. The dense wood would be best for the climate in Egypt, I'm being told. Can't make up my mind on the chip though..the 75 or the 200. In either case I'll definitely ask for a dual 18650

I also made a slight improvement in this batch, going to do this going foward on all of my mods I think. I decided to machine an o-ring recess at the 510. I don't always use an o-ring under my atty and sometimes they do seep slightly and wet the mod around the atty base. this ring groove will allow the atty to still sit 100% flush yet still seal well no matter which atty is on there. this ring is machined to accept an 11mm X 1.5mm or 11mm X 1.78mm o-ring. I didn't have any correct o-rings in stock so this pic shows it with a smaller o-ring that I had to cut to fit just to show how it fits, but the correct o-rings are on there way to me. this could off course still be used without the o-ring but since the groove is there anyway and it's so unobtrusive in use I don't see much reason not to use an o-ring here now...

Didn't want to clutter the thread with HUGE replies (although seeing all the gorgeousness again wouldn't be bad!), but I wanted to say everything looks incredible, turbo! Might have to get on the list for wood after my Ultem

Can we see some pics of any in-progress Ultem mods, if you have any, and the time? So I don't have to watch your torture test vids for like the 30th time (really).

definitely took me longer to finish these mods than I thought it would, they just suck up so many hours to get to this level but there finally done, every one that has a home will be shipping out in the morning. tomorrow I'll be full ultem time FINALLY....

heres a few shots of the completed mods. first 2 are CA finish. this CA finish just really takes so much extra time :) this first one still needs the aluminum faceplate to get a final brushed finish...
