Twisting Kanthal Wire For Genesis Style Devices/RBAs

I twisted up some 32g real tight earlier today, and wrapped it around a #325 mesh. 5 wraps, Ended up with about 1.5 ohms. Heated them up during the dry burn to space the coils, and it works great on the Gen AGA-T2

Using twisted 34 gauge kenthal here on a 325 mesh. It works great. Durability seems good. We will see though. Im also playing with flat ribbon on my DID rebuildable.
using twisted 32 silver for a .6ohm build on my igo-l honestly...its not worth the effort if you can get ahold of 28. i only picked up 32 because its the only gauge my local shops have in stock.
with the 28 single wrap i can produce massive clouds that i expect lighting to strike inside...but with the twisted i get a mediocre freight train. same juice, same device, and same draw technique.

I've twisted a few. I see no advantage to the ultra twisted techniques shown here. I use a much less aggressive with considerably less twisting approach, which lowers the ohms yet exposes more surface area of the wire .

I never considered twisting the kanthal,I'm still learning the subtleties of wrapping coils.
I was wondering about double wicking,though. Wrapping the mesh over a silica or cotton wick. Sounds like it would work pretty well but I don't know anyone who has actually done it.

Since the two wires act electrically as one and there is just one wrapping around the wicks, I'd make the case it "counts" as a single-coil setup but it reduces the resistance like dual coils by providing a wider electron path. Basically it acts like a larger gauge wire, but hopefully with more surface area due to the twists.
I've used 2 x 0.15 mm kanthal on my rsst. It works just fine, but it seems that it's also a gunk trap, as there's opportunity for gunk to build up between the kanthal threads
I've been thinking of trying something like that but with two different gauges of wire one that heats really fast and one bigger for slow burn.
I have done the silica with SS #400 mesh wrapped around it in my RSST and it works pretty well, I cant even get it to dry burn to check my coils after a few days if I need to, I need to use a needle tip bottle to drain the juice in order to get it to dry burn. I showed the guy at my local retail shop and he was surprised it wicked so well. Id say its worth a shot.
I had never heard of this method but decided to try it out of my own curiosity/creativity...I used this for about a week and went back to a straw type today which is skinnier to be prepared for my mechanical mod that is in the mail.
EDIT: I would advise you not use cotton because that would interfere with dry burning to check your coils, dont wanna spend the time to make it only to have the cotton burn. silica can be dry burned and wont catch fire or burn. However I will say with the silica CORE if you change flavors it will hang on, at least it did for me. I went from Mister E Liquid Funny Banana to a Reserve Blend and it slightly tasted like banana even after a few tanks.

another use for 32 gauge kanthal is the clappton coil but not really for genies
