First i will like to point out that most of us who have vaped on a vivi nova tank have experience the same nasty taste of the wicks and the muffled flavor of your ejuice but dont let yourself be fooled the vivi tank v2 is a vape machine and for the price with a couple of extra coil heads you cant go wrong!!!

First thing you need to do is take the plastic caps off the replaceable vivi coil heads and boil them in a pot of water for 10 to 15 mins
Then run them under cold running water in the sink for a few minutes. Let them air dry on a paper towel for a day. After the vivi coil heads are dry remove the very top wick string its just sitting in there loose on the top or the others theres no coil raped around it you can pull it out. That takes care of the flavor problem!!

Now lets work on the air flow if you look into the the center wher the positive pin sits you will notice it has no top air hole the air holes are on the sides of the positive pin. once you push the pin out you will see them! You wont be using this pin!!!........... get a positive center pin from an old stardust v2 the one with the long wicks. You will notice it has a hole on the very top instead of the sides!!

Now incert the stardust pin all the way in the vivi tanks 510 connection it is going to go in further then usual but dont worry about it, once you screw on the coilhead it will come back out to the necessary position. Now put it together fill it up with your favorite juice and get those clouds of vapor you crave!!! :p

Version 2.5 doesn't have the top wick you describe. What plastic cap are you talking about? Version 2.5 has a small silicon tube on top, but it doesn't interfere with anything. Just connects the airway from the tube to the drip tip. If you are talking about loosening up the draw, push the center pin out of the post. Hand drill the two air holes a little larger. Then, hand drill the air holes on the top of the 510 connector a little larger. Push the center pin back in and reassemble everything. The whole process takes about 10 minutes. It does improve the draw a little, but it's not dramatic.

I've done all the above plus drilled out the inside of the head from the bottom with a 1/16" bit. Be sure to use a stop on the bit or you will destroy the coil. I inserted the bit into the head then allowed just enough space with the stop to get through a very thin piece of metal. Works great. Opening up the head really loosens up the draw. To improve flavor/vapor production make sure that the drip tip is fully seated. Most are not from the factory. Then after installing the top cap, take a Q tip and push the little tube that is inside of the stock drip tip all the way down onto the head.

Yes, I have too much time on my hands...lol. Love my Vivi novas!!!

I'll have to try drilling the head. Why do you need a Qtip to push the tube down? There is an edge on the center tube to stop it anyway.

I probably have a few thousand around here so that's what I use.

ETA...I'm talking about the short tubing that is located inside of the drip tip, not the silicone cap that is on the head. Look inside of the stock drip tip that came with the Vivi...

I don't use the stock drip tips. Guess that's why I assumed you were talking about the silicon tube.

Nice info anyone ever tried to put a mesh coil on the vivi novas?

I've done it and it works well.
IMO #1/0 candle wick is much less of a hassle and works just as well.
It is difficult keeping the mesh from pinching at the steep angle it bends.
A short mesh might perform better. I haven't tried yet.

Darryll - THANK YOU! I'm glad to know it's not just a rumor and someone has actually done it. Do you have a guide or any tips for a novice? I still have the lower resistance atty's I could take apart to try myself. As well as the some mesh and coil.
