The only difference between v2.0 and v2.5 is a cosmetic change in the steel body's engraving. The inner electronics are exactly the same.
The only thing I'd order from Provape with the Provari would be the battery extension cap to be able to use the longer lasting 18650 battery. At time of purchase, you are also offered to extend the 1 year warranty to two years total. I didn't bother with that because the Provari is one of the most trouble-free APVs that you can buy. Provape will continue to service your Provari for a reasonable fee even after your warranty has expired.
I suggest buying your batteries, and a good quality battery recharger if you need one, from RTD Vapor
Genuine AW Batteries at RTD Vapor a US vendor that specializes in selling genuine brand-name batteries. Of course, with the standard Provari you'll need the red AW IMR 18490 battery, and the red AW IMR 18650 battery if you get the battery extension cap. Be sure to order the "button top" variety.
For a charger, the Pila, Nitecore, and Xtar chargers are most recommended.
