As of today, my hubby and I have hit the break-even point in terms of money spend on vaping supplies versus money that we would have spent on cigarettes. (About $300.00) We are well stocked with supplies, and are at least a month away from needing juice or new equipment.

We seem to be fairly light vapers, and we really don't feel the need to continually upgrade, what we're using is working just fine. (I am finding the Mini Nova to be a bit "airy", but we'll see...)

Of course the financial aspect is really just the icing on the cake, we don't smoke any more; that's the real payoff:) Couldn't have done it without the wealth of information and support here. Seriously. Thanks to you all!

Congratulations on the milestone! Yes, the money saved is an extra added perk to quitting smoking aside from the health benefits. I saved so much money after quitting smoking I ended up buying a brand new Rubicon as a reward to myself. The monthly payments were still less than what I spent on cigarettes in a month!

This is great to hear after all the threads with compulsive buying. I also broke even rather quickly and felt great about returning the money to the household budget, where it came from and belonged.

We'll be going on a very nice vacation this year and still have plenty leftover- instead of sitting at home with a dozen expensive mods and attys.

Whatever you can quit with, you can stick with.

I do understand the urge to upgrade...but it's just not a big deal for us. As long as we can vape, we're happy campers. It's all good:)

    Thanks everyone for the congrats!

Wish I could say the same but even vaping can't beat the prices of those cheap indians smoke like I used to smoke, I'm still a year away from break even day even after vaping for almost 3 years lol :)

lol. yep them cheap cigs sure don't help your break even point...

If I don't buy anything from this day forward, I would break even in July.. (ho, and that's with used to smoke 30 cigs a day at $8.00 a pack) BUT, I anticipate at the very least more juice and at least a few more "upgrades"... so I figure i should break even around September.

Now if I could just stay away from that provari thing...

Started vaping in September, saved roughly $700 from cigarettes so far. Spent roughly $1400, so around the end of May I'll be break even and still have enough supplies on hand for another 6 months maybe. I spent a fair bit, but bought some good mods and backups, lots of RBA materials and enough juice for nearly a year. The upfront cost doesn't bother me, I quit smoking and will benefit from that, will save money for at least 6 months after break even, and then juice and RBA supplies will be minimal cost so the savings will continue.

Anyone who can break even in a few weeks deserves applause!:toast: You don't need the big mods, but even if you get them it will pay off with their long term replacement savings.
