I was at a B&M yesterday taklking to the owner who is a fellow DIYer (sells his house juice at the store). He was telling me that there was soon going to be legislation going into effect that would require someone to have a license in order to purchase nicotine, like high % extracts for DIY. Is there any truth to this? I can't find any info to this online. Has anyone else heard about this?

Not sure where this is coming from. There was something passed this session, I believe it after many twists and turns it ended up mostly trying to keep e cigs away from minors. I didn't follow it closely so it could have changed at some point and I missed it. Anywho, that stuff generally goes into effect Sept 1, you should have 2 months to figure it out if it's coming from the state.

I don't think you as a private person need a license.
I would rather think of entrepreneurs who want to buy really high nic for their own juices. I mean I just found nearly pure nicotine to buy. Although nic isn't as dangerous as Big G wants us to believe I think some concentrations should not be available to the public.

I don't think even pure nicotine is more toxic than some of the common weedkillers, like gramoxone

Man it's a brutal law. I mostly skimmed it but it makes it criminal to sell to anyone under 18 as well as forcing retailers to card anyone under 27....yes it does. It also regulates packaging of eliquid including child resistance caps and age verification demands for online purchases...wow. It also equates eliquid to tobacco including 0nic eliquid. It makes no differentiation between tobacco and eliquid. What a terrible read. All sellers of eliquid must sign a form acknowledging these new laws before they engage in a retail business selling eliquid.

Texas? A "Nanny State"?! The snowball in he-- just melted. :(
Here I thought Texas was the only state left with any nads
Whats going up here in ohio turned into a .35 tax on cigs only, unless there is something I missed. I looked at my wife when I read and said man the state is screwed if everyone quits smoking.

There is no way 0mg liquid should be classified as anything. In fact eliquid should not be anything but something in its own class. Out of control government houses out of control scotus. States that want to fine other states because of water. This country is becoming borked. So much wrong and they throw the hammer down on 0mg. Sad sad times.

Is Canada recruiting?
