So I bowl in a league every Wednesday night, and tonight when I was done I was sitting at the bar finishing my beer with my mid sitting on the bar. The management there is fine with vaping and I am always polite and don't blow clouds or anything. Most people can't even tell. So this one lady comes up to me and says "you know those will be outlawed soon" I said maybe but I will enjoy it while I can and at lest I'm not smoking. She replies that they are just as bad and still have nicotine, I said I like nicotine and besides I have cut my nicotine by 1/3 since quitting smoking plus no more tar and 90% less chemicals. She just walked away....hope I made some difference but she's a judgmental non-smoker. Sorry to vent but this is the first time I've had to deal with an attitude like that other than family...they don't count lol.

There are entire 'quit smoking' forums that have quite literally banned vaping discussion of any kind. One even says 'until it's approved by the FDA'. I noted one member there that was quite irate, pointed out that quitting cold turkey is not FDA approved. Even better was the same person pointing out that they have a subforum for (each of these): patches, gum, lozenges and...nic inhalers.

There's just so much hate for vaping, I won't ever really comprehend. All I can do is parrot repeatedly that it is the only way I have ever quit for more than 48 hours. Including: patches, gum, and lozenges. So much irrational hate for something very few people understand.

Out of curiosity who runs the forum. I'm guessing the moderators are shutting down the vaping discussion. I haven't experienced that type of attitude from the average smoker. Only from non-smokers who think they know what is best for everybody else. Crazy...

I was one of the last 2 smokers in my American Legion Honor Guard (group of 27) and the non smokers we're on me to quit. When i had a stroke, I went almost flawlessly into vaping. 3 months smoke free, but not without comments from my Honor Guard Brothers. "You know, they're just as bad" "Do you realize that you're inhaling amperage" I almost went to blows with one of these ignorant fools over the benefits of vaping. I've developed what I consider to be a fairly pad answer..."How much research have you actually done on vaping. I know that I've done close to 100 hours of research, that being said you notice I'm vaping vs smoking." Usually shuts them up.

Ya, that's about what I said. This guy, retired electrician supposedly said I was vaping over 4 amps...really? At 6.7 watts and 3.6 volts = 1.8 amps. Shows the ignorance we vaper's face. Like I tried to explain...I'm simply vaporizing liquid...healthy liquid. What an idiot!

The irrational hate part that I bolded above nails it.
That hate, and the irrational fear that drives it, constantly being pushed on the people via the MSM.

It's because they have been brainwashed for years with rhetoric that anything resembling smoking is BAD. More than bad, something to be despised. This has been transferred to vapers. As one politician said "If it looks like a duck, it must be a duck".

This is nothing new--

Galileo faced the Inquisition because he suggested the Earth rotated around the Sun and not the other way around.

Rathgar almost went beserker when he found out Barjnie was navigating the boat with a chunk of iron floating in a bowl of water--damn fool claimed it pointed in the same direction all the time!

well actually your calculation i not exactly right either. considering the battery ranges from 4.2 at the highest charge, all the way down to 3.2 ish when the battery dies. the amps change gradually. my rule of thumb is always calculate at the highest possible voltage

One should look into who's financing that "quit smoking" site. May be some ANTZ organization.
