As others have said...you have to WANT to quit smoking first.

Quiting smoking isn't easy. Realize there will be discomfort. Work past it, don't give in. E-cigs aren't analogs, your draws have to be long and steady...its not smoking where you can draw quick and have this huge lung hit. When I first started I was drawing too weak on my e-cig. I increased the strength of the draw and got a huge lung and throat hit. IMHO forget the tobacco flavors that claim to taste like a cigarette..none do (again IMHO). I do like some of the pipe tobacco flavors like Cavendish. I vape coffees and drinks.............. candy flavors and food flavors aren't for me either.

If you want something to really give you a powerful hit, look at notcigs.com. The buzz is not the prettiest in the world, but definetly gets the job done. They are running a special on the Buzz kit. And you can turn it up to 5 volts. You can select the type of threads you want also, so I have one that works with all of the 510 products which is what the ego is. So you would not have to buy anything extra. Take a look, it does cost a little more, but it is well worth it imho.

Since I vape all day too, I lowered the nic in my juices so as to not overdo it. I usually have about 4 - 5 batteries running as I like all type of juices. I am also using the ego pt and the riva.

ps..have no affiliation to any vendor.....just a user same as you.

If you're doing the condom fill, let the initial fill settle for a few minutes, then try lightly blowing thru the mouthpiece throught the battery end, it will help let out any overfill into a papertowel or napkin, etc. wipe the connection end and screw onto your battery.

If you're using a automatic battery there is a hole in the connection end. Getting liquid down into that can flood and cause premature death of a battery, not a good thing. If you're using manual batteries with a button, there shouldn't be any issues other than leakage if overfilled.

If you're looking for something with more of a TH you need to bump up the pg percentage in the liquid you're using, I'll shoot you a pm and see if I can get you something with more pg and see if this does the trick for you.

So, you thinking switching to pg can help some?

I fill condom method, also. I usually get so much in there that it seeps out onto my battery after I screw the cartomizer back on! lol

Send me samples? Really?

Ah, still searching for the same thing and getting the same results, that old trick.

So, the simple answer is; if you want different results, do it differently.

+2 on this. I smoked Camel filters and never bothered to wean off to lights. Didn't actually plan to stop smoking for that matter. I just did accidentally after about two months.

As I tried different things and got closer to that ideal vape, my analog use started dropping. I don't even know what day I smoked the last one, other than it was over a month ago. What did the trick for me was finding flavors I liked and getting the nic level dialed in. That just takes trial and error.

Lately my pursuit is getting more, thicker vapor. Right now I'm dripping on a bridgeless atty and it's just not quite enough. I'm not too keen on the LR/HV approach, so I just ordered some mega carts/attys for my eGo setup. I read another post where someone did a brass wool cart mod on one of these and it just seemed right for me :)

When I quit is was really hard, cold turkey lasted about a year. The wife still smoking it was hard to stay off. Started cigars after a year but got into the e-cig niche about 2 month ago. Just a little Background.

I think go two approaches: transition to e-cig and quit smoking, Or quit everything all together. You have a smoking habit and are addicted to nicotine. Your going to have to power through it mentally. I thought about how much cigarettes owned me, how much I was being controlled. I have yet to beat me nicotine addiction but I'm done smoking.

Here are some of the things I used when I quit smoking.

The hardest part of any quit is the starting so there is no time like the present to stop smoking. You know you want to do it. Why set a quit day in the future when we both know that will give you x days to come up with excuse for not doing it on that day. Don’t set yourself up for failure, take a few minutes to prepare then just do it. It really is that simple - 90% of a quit is in your head.

As far as addiction goes, this is one of the best tricks to ease the mind in the early days. In your war against smoking it’s best to take it one day at a time. If your just starting your quit, take it by the hour. Tell your mind “I will not smoke for on hour” then move it to the next hour. Soon a smoke free day will have past. Start this again the next day and after a few days you should be able to move it to one day at a time.

Maybe you need more throat hit. Generally PG is more TH and VG is more vapor. I was almost driven to smoke an analog by juices that left me feeling unfulfilled, unsatisfied. Some of the juices left me feeling like I had just EATEN and craving an analog. One didn't satisfy me even when I vaped too much of it. Then some more juices arrived and the minute I tried Backwoods Brew Casablanca tobacco blend it was different for me. Their juices are a PG/VG blend with good flavor. Some have good TH and some don't (like Peach does not for me). But for me, Casablanca felt satisfying - TH, rich vapor. It has tobacco w/ cocoa like my fave analogs ever had (the ones that got so expensive I couldn't afford them). The BWB Casablanca juice is heavier on the cocoa than my old favorite analogs but I actually feel satisfied after vaping it. I'm definitely trying some more of their tobaccos.

I think even if you don't try BWB's juice, try some PG/VG mixes until you find one that gives you the vapor you want as well as the TH, and flavor/aroma that satisfies you.

About the eaten thing...............EXACTLY!!!!!!! I feel that way often with my flavors. BWB was actually one of the first vendors I bought from. There RY5 is good, so was the bubblegum. I got a marshmellow from there, but it was too "light". I have tried the pg/vg ratio, but maybe I didn't go high enough on the pg.

Don't worry about 'over vaping' is that even a possibility? LOL

I was vaping with two eGos in my mouth for a while this morning -- one in the left side of my mouth and one in the right side of my mouth. The thought went through my mind that I might be overvaping. :)

But throat hits were great doing it that way!

You need a lot more power my friend. Only one way to do that and it's to increase the wattage, the power drawn by the atty. So:

1. Get a large 1000mAh or bigger eGo or Tornado battery, and a charger adapter widget. That will work on your 510 charger. Also get a couple of 510 LR low resistance atties. All your other 510 kit will fit with this (carts, charger with the adapter). This will set you back all of $25 or so. If you like it, get more big batts and LR atties. This setup gives you about 7 watts of power, and it's around double the 'effective power' of the stock 510. Most suppliers sell this stuff.

2. Or, get a cheap 5 volt 510 boxmod like a Ken's, from boxmods.net, you'll need 4 x 14500 protected Li-ion batteries (2 in use, 2 on charge), or alternatively some much safer (and more powerful) ones like AW IMR Li-Mn 14500's (costs more though). Plus a charger for the 14500 rechargeables. It uses regular 510 atties, and produces about 10 or 11 watts power, and has three times the effective power of a regular 510. The buy-in is around $70 - $80 though.

3. Try 36mg e-liquid if you're only using 24mg, 24 just doesn't cut it for many of us. Get flavors like Coffee that hit hard.

More power, more nic hit, more harsh flavors and you'll do it. I couldn't get off the Luckies / Winstons till I did that. I need a lot of hit too, I used to cut the filters off my cigs to get more hit, can't buy plains where I am - but the big vape hit from upping the power / nic / flavor fixed it for me.

More hit does the trick. Wimpy stock ecigs and low nic are no good in this situation. Anyone who fails to convert to an ecig needs to try 5 volts @ 36mg + strong flavors or you just haven't given it a fair chance. LR 510's on an eGornado might do it for you if you're lucky, it's worth trying as it's so cheap compared to buying a 5 volt set-up, which is minimum $75 or so for a seat.

yeah - juices that make me feel like I just ate are the worst for me. I adored BWB Peach but it was sort of like that. So I ended up mixing some in with a 100% PG tobacco flavor I had and that was nice and more satisfying.

I actually think BWB has probably enough PG for me (I think about 65-70%) but there is also a surprisingly wide variation in TH between flavors too. So don't judge the TH of a particular company's PG/VG percent's based on one flavor. Read the juice review section of the forum and comments/reviews on juices at sales sites at useful too.

BTW somebody in another thread said cocoa is also a flavoring in my old fave Marlboros as well as my more recent fave Capris. Interesting. That's probably why Casablanca is relaxing and satisfying to me even though it doesn't really smell/taste much like tobacco.

Maybe you should check what kinds of flavor ingredients are in your old analog smoke of choice because that might give you hints to which flavors or tobacco flavor types might be more satisfying for you in aroma/taste.

Another idea - pick up some 100% PG flavored ejuices to try (if you're in the US Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA has a good 10ml price and $2 shipping). Then you can see what 100% PG like and now much less vapor it has. You could even try mixing it with some of your VG's that are too "eaten"-like to satisfy.

Woah. You just lost me there! lol I am not familiar with all of those terms, except the higher nic suggestion. Links to examples would be very much appreciated!!!
